Ristorante Al Lupo — Restaurant in Comunità della Vallagarina

We (couple with kid) just wanted to stop for a coffee on our way to Southern Italy - and stayed for one of the absolutely (!) best meals we've ever had.

The steak that the (unbelievably friendly!) owner cooks is right up there with anyone in some fancy 5* restaurant. It was so EXACTLY medium-rare that now - 5 days later - my mouth is still "watering" and longing for coming back again.

Our 10-yr old son got Pasta Carbonara, cooked "on point" as well. The owner was joking with our kid, tried to talk Italian with him (didn't work) but they both clicked anyway. So nice to watch.

This restaurant may be overseen when you just drive by (as most tourists like us do) - but they miss the most...

First of all, the owner of this restaurant was a real funny and friendly guy. He couldn’t speak English and we couldn’t speak Italian, yet he went all the way not only to explain the menu and got our order, but to tell us things like about the bell of fallen when it sounded at 9.30pm.

For dinner we had the venison steak, shrimp pasta and a carbonara spaghetti. The steak was tender and tasty and shrimp pasta was fantastic. For the last 2 weeks or so, we had mainly tasted Italian foods too salty to our liking but this time we were real happy with all of the foods. In visita a Rovereto con il mio copagno abbiamo cercato su Tripadvisor un ristorante e devo che siamo rimasti paicevolmente più che soddisfatti. Locale semplice, senza pretese ma pulito e ben tenuto, con alcuni dettagli dell'arredamento particolari (non ve li dico per stuzzicare la vostra curiosità). Il proprietario cordiale e anche simpatico . Abbiamo ordinato un tagliere grande di salumi e formaggio (18 euro ) molto vario più nei salumi che nei formaggi ma i salumi di ottima qualità; un piatto di tagliatelle al ragù di cervo (10 euro) di una bontà indescrivibile con le tagliatelle fatte a mano; 2 grigliate miste con patate ( 18 euro cad. ), a parte la salamina leggermente salata ( per i miei gusti) la carne veramente ottima, tenera e cotta al punto giusto con contorno di patate con la buccia fritte. Piatti molto abbondanti tanto che il primo lo abbiamo diviso a metà per un assaggio ed era abbastanza; la carne non ce l'abbiamo fatta a finirla con grande dispiacere ma era così buona che alla proposta di portarla a casa abbiamo approfittato subito. Conto finale con aggiunta di acqua, mezzo litro di vino della casa e caffè, 75, 60 e per la bontà dei piatti vi garantisco che vale il prezzo. Se torneremo in zona ci torneremo senza alcun dubbio. Il ristorante "al Lupo" è uno di quei ristoranti che ti fa pensare proprio a quanto hai...
