After a week trekking the via ferrata of the Dolomiti Brenta Group, my husband and I spent a day relaxing in Madonna di Compiglio. Due to my special diet, we searched restaurants out of the tourist area for menus that catered to my Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) diet. We liked the menu of Ristorante Pizzeria al Pappagallo, and it was within walking distance of our hotel. The second we walked in, we were greeted like family by Sarah, who shared a hearty hello and a warm, welcoming smile. She offered us a cozy corner table and was an absolute delight to converse with.
