Bar The King — Restaurant in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

We stayed at The King Livigno on the 2nd week of December 2021. It was an awesome experience starting from the cosy ambiance of the hotel; with fully wooden rooms and furnitures; and enjoyable essence of the mountains. It is a family owner's hotel which makes the service personal and while exchanging with the managers you get to learn a couple of Italian words such as "caffe doppio" (double expresso) and limoncello (a regional drink from Italy). The location is also a positive thing since, while you are still in the center but not yet bothered by the noisy bars. In our room we got to have 2 balconies with amazing views to the Valley of Livigno and to the mountains. The hotel has also a local bar in the main floor, where locals come to see football international matches and you get to know and share with some of them. The breakfast is a full variety of quality hams from the region, accompany with delicious brioches of many different types; every morning you get surprise with additional things to eat such as Oreos, sugar bread or pancakes; you get full energy charged for your skiing day. We fully recommend this place which it is worth with quality and price. We are planning our next year adventure in Livigno to come back to The King. Siamo tornati per la seconda volta in questo B&B che lo scorso anno ci aveva entusiasmato ma purtroppo abbiamo dovuto ricrederci facendolo presente anche ai ragazzi giovani che gestiscono il bar sottostante le camere del B&B. L'accoglienza non è stata delle migliori, non erano neppure stati informati della nostra prenotazione, solo dopo aver telefonato alla segretaria sono venuti a conoscenza che c'era una prenotazione a mio nome per quattro giorni consecutivi pertanto anche se tutte le camere erano libere ci è stato riferito che fino alle 15 non potevamo prenderne possesso perchè al momento la stanza era occupata. Pazienza eravamo in anticipo di circa 3 ore ma in tanti anni che viaggiamo non ci era mai successo che nonostante la camera fosse libera non ci veniva datoa la possibilità di appoggiare anche solo le valigie. Finalmente alle 15 ci vengono consegnate le chiavi e prendiamo possesso della camera, nienete da dire, avendoci già soggiornato avevo chiesto di nuovo la stess a camera della volta scorsa poichè è veramente molto carina, anche se piccola, dispone però di due balconi che fanno entrare una bella luce, facendo anche un pò di corrente date le giornate torride che abbiamo trovato. Quello che veramente ha lasciateo a desiderare è la colazione, su quattro giorni per 3 giorni non abbiamo avuto il piacere di mangiare del pane fresco, assurdo per un bar che inizia di buona mattina a fare colazioni con un via vai continuo di clienti, il resto della colazione consisteva in brioches, affettati e prodotti per lo più confezionati tipo biscotti, cracker, marmellate, etc.. Poca attenzione verso il cliente per quanto riguarda set cortesia in camere e ricambi asciugamani, sarà stata una dimenticanza da parte di chi fa le camere, non so .... fatto sta che ho dovuto farne richiesta e non è mai simpatico perchè passi per una rompiscatole. Devo comunque dire che sono stati molto disponibili alla mia richiesta per un cambio di lenzuola poichè non sarei neanche riuscita a dormire senza un lenzuolo di cotone e faceva veramente caldo. Gentilissimi i ragazzi, premurosi e molto simpatici. ||Non c'è il due senza il tre, magari la prossima volta...

It was terrible! We wanted to go to Livigno to participate in one cross-country ski race. So, we contact this b&b and they gave us a price, it was a really good deal! So we made the registration. After that, the b&b told us that the price was wrong and it was the double!!! We accepted the mistake, but afterwards, our money was already spent in the race because of the price they gave us.
