I booked the restaurant based on Google reviews but was very dissapointed. We had Iseo lake fish tempura and charcuterie board as starters, pea pure Taglietella for secondo and the venison with polenta as the main dish. The tempura was completely tastlesess: neither the fish nor the batter had any salt or other taste, only the lime-ginger mayo had flavor in it. The charcuterie board was huge, way too big for one person as a starter and there was no mention about it anywhere. We could’t finish the starters. The pasta with peas and pea puree looked stunning and was quite ok, but again it lacked flavor. Also the pasta itself was not salted enough so it was quite tasteless. The main dish however was worth of 5 stars! Beautiful piece of very tender venison, cooked perfectly to medium/medium plus with a nice crisp surface and seasoned perfectly. Polenta was excellent and tasty, it paired nicely with the venice and the sauce. The spinach on the side gave a nice fresh touch to the dish. Best dish of the evening and a stellar one on its own. We were very full after the three courses. The service was not at the level I would excpect it to be at that price point. They came to take our order quite fast and we received the dishes quickly, which was good. But it was very weird that the waiters did not ask ”how was the food” etc. with any of the three dishes we had, but just collected the plates in a hurry. This made us feel like it didn’t really matter if we liked the food or if everything was fine. I wouldn’t say they were rude, just indifferent towards us. When I asked for a check and received it, I waited over 15 minutes but no one came to collect the payment or even looked at our table. Eventually I was able to ask a waiter who was cleaning the table next to us and they simply took our check and continued cleaning the table. I said that we hadn’t paid yet, and they responded something I did not understand. I then asked if we need to pay inside, I understood that yes we do. This was super weird and I do not undersrand why they did not just tell me that when they brought the check? Also, when I was paying they said that we were very brave to take three dishes each, which was again weird: why did no one tell us that it was too much food when they took our order? It’s impossible to know the size of the dishes as a first time customer. Not sure, if all this was due to the language barrier, since we were communicating in English, or what was the problem.

I had rabbit as a starter and pasta with duck as a main. My partner had grilled vegetables and fish with mushrooms as a main. Quality was very good. Only wish there were more guests with us that day for the atmosphere, but I guess Monday is less busy everywhere. I guess the restaurant could easily charge higher prices, given what they offer. The cook certainly has a bright future, so you better get there and try it before everyone has discovered this gem and it became too famous.

Spinto dalle tante positive recensioni decido di recarmi a pranzo presso questa osteria come ultimo pranzo di lavoro prima del break estivo. La location è molto raffinata e sicuramente di livello, la Mise en place molto curata. Ci accoglie un ragazzo (presumo il responsabile di sala) che ci espone la lista dei vini e i fuori carta, veramente molta scelta per chi ama i vini anche Francesi. Il menù prevede la possibilità di scegliere un percorso degustazione o alla carta la scelta non è vastissima il che non è obbligatoriamente un male (meglio qualche piatto in meno ma ben fatto, che tanti fatti mediocremente). Decidiamo di optare per due primi e ci facciamo consigliare per due calici di vino bianco che si dimostrano corretti per l'abbinamento dei piatti. Materie prime molto buone già dal pane servito in partenza, di produzione locale con lievito madre e l'Entrée offerto di pesce siluro con salsa wasabi e lime, ben bilanciato. I primi scelti si sono rivelati in linea con le aspettative di sapori e profumi che ci aspettavamo, sicuramente c'è ricercatezza nei piatti. Il servizio si è dimostrato attento e in linea con il livello del locale. Ovviamente la qualità delle materie prime e la ricercatezza dei piatti unitamente al contesto si pagano,magari più dei prezzi medi di mercato ma tutto sommato comprensibile. Nel complesso consigliato.

We are travellers from Berlin and total foodies and can say this is easily one of our top experiences and restaurants. The food was simply fantastic. Spinto dalle tante positive recensioni decido di recarmi a pranzo presso questa osteria come ultimo pranzo di lavoro prima del break estivo. Il menù prevede la possibilità di scegliere un percorso degustazione o alla carta la scelta non è vastissima il che non è obbligatoriamente un male (meglio qualche piatto in meno ma ben fatto, che tanti fatti mediocremente). Decidiamo di optare per due primi e ci facciamo consigliare per due calici di vino bianco che si dimostrano corretti per l'abbinamento dei piatti. Mi dispiace per il personale assolutamente gentile e disponibile ma l'esperienza è stata deludente. Il menù è composto da poche, pochissime portate e non sono divise in antipasti, primi o secondi, il che genera grande confusione. Chiediamo se è possibile avere un piatto di gnocchi al sugo per il bambino (piatto fuori menù) la nostra richiesta viene accolta a 15 euro, una cifra fuori da ogni logica. Non ci vengono serviti né grissini, né stuzzichini, né pane. Così chiediamo e ci viene portato un panino, uno in 3! Coperto 4 euro a testa per non avere le tovaglie e un panino. Calice di vino locale, 7 euro... Prendo il dolce e vengono "offerti" due biscotti al bambino. 5 euro nel momento di pagare il conto. Il conto è stato di 109 euro, non troppo in assoluto ma decisamente folle rispetto a quanto ci è stato servito. Mi dispiace ma ci sono posti infinitamente più belli, dove si mangia anche meglio a cifre molto inferiori anche in località più rinomate e che, conseguentemente, potrebbero essere più care.

Visto che non è possibile rispondere al titolare mi tocca aggiungere qui una postilla. Vi spacciate per ristorante ricercato e poi risultate sul sito del campeggio come "ristorante del campeggio". Io mi sono scusato per il rumore perché, a differenza vostra, sono un signore. Mio figlio non faceva rumore, semplicemente continuava ad alzarsi per fare due passi. D'altra parte da noi non c'è connessione, il telefono non prende, non servite un grissino, non un pezzo di pane e fa freddo. Che cosa dovrebbe fare un bambino? Potreste spacciarvi per ristorante per coppie a questo punto visto che tanto già vi spacciate per ristorante ricercato? Chi si sarebbe lamentato del rumore? La coppia vicino a noi con il cane sotto il tavolo che giocava con mio figlio? Molto credibile. Gli adolescenti all'altro tavolo? Altrettanto credibile. Oppure è stato...ah no, non c'era nessun altro, chissà come mai. Rispondere stizziti davanti ad una recensione negativa, per quanto oggetiva, è assolutamente lecito ma farneticare di lamentele inventate, al...
