dasQ - eat & drink — Restaurant in Comunità montana della Valle Sabbia

After a great experience last year we came back to dasQ, this time we were greatly disappointed.

The view was still great, the staff was still friendly. But then, I ordered a risotto which was uncooked. I -never- sent food back, but this time I did, and got the lasagne instead.

Later we found the risotto still on the bill. when asked, I recieved a lecture on the “real” risotto and when I offered him a hand to shake, he refused… I work in hospitality and never have I seen such a disrespectful attitude.

Last year was great and we wish the kind staff all the best, but this was a bad experience. The risotto was cooked worse than it looked, the talk I got was horrible, the lasagne was avarage at best, the cocktails were badly mixed…

They got a new cook, but they should have gotten a new bar man. For that money, go anywhere else…

Fine, you are probably right, but what your response once again clearly shows is that you value being right more than being customer-friendly. I quite literally extended a hand to you, but you were — and remain — unrelenting. I find this impolite, and although it is not my intention to insult your talented staff, I am personaly very dissatisfied with the way you treated me. As you yourself indicated, it is not unreasonable for someone to have different expectations of the food. A restaurant of your quality should be able to handle that with full hospitality under all circumstances. It goes beyond simple service and involves creating a positive experience, where the needs and expectations of guests are met —...

I am sorry to give it only two stars, but the pizza was really disappointing. Very oily, overloaded with cheese and the bottom soaked with fat. Although I was hungry, I could not finish it and had to move to another place for dessert. Furthermore, the prices are twice as expensive as somewhere else, which is not justified for what I got. Since the restaurant is quite elegant with very friendly staff, I guess that they also serve good food, see other reviews. However, pizza-lovers, be warned!

Wat hebben wij hier vanavond ontzettend lekker gegeten! Heel ontspannen sfeer, mooie aankleding en uiterst professionele en vriendelijke bediening. De dames in de bediening spraken naast hun moedertaal, Italiaans, ook goed Engels. Fijn voor wanneer je de Italiaanse taal nog niet volledig beheerst. Het eten was voortreffelijk! Wij aten buikspek op een bedje van spinazie, gebakken aardappeltjes uit de oven en een sausje van pruim. In 1 woord: perfect! Linguine met tonijn, ook echt goddelijk lekker. Twee aanraders dus! Als bijgerecht de gegrilde groenten gegeten. Alles was goed op smaak gebracht met slechts 2 ingrediënten; Italiaanse olijfolie en zeezout. Als dessert het nationale gerecht: torta di Rosa met perzikmouse. Ook wederom perfect in balans qua smaken. De bediening kon mij een wijn aanraden bij mijn gerecht, welke een heerlijke aanvulling was bij de pasta.

Kortom: de moeite waard om hier heen te gaan. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens, een keer of tien, terug.
