Mezzosale — Restaurant in Conegliano

When I was told that I had to fly to Venice for work, I thought "great!", when I was told that I would be staying at a B&B, I thought "crap!!". When we Brits stay at a B&B in the UK, you pretty much welcomed in to someone house who has a few rooms available to rent out, and you can all use the first floor toilet!!!||I arrived at Mezzosale, very late at night, due to re-routed and delayed flight, and they had already closed!!, But the two owners had stayed back to check me in.After a very brief checking of passport formalities, I was shown to my room. A very modern, bright while corridor with wooden floors lead to a lift, up to the first floor the theme continued, hotel like pass cards let me enter my room, one the owners who was with me, showed me how to use the electric shutters the heating system and then left me to settle.||The room was clean with white walls and comfortable double bed, a very modern up to date bathroom, to be completely truthful I have stayed in some hotel that are not as well furnished as this B&B was. The view from my room looked onto the Accademia, very picturesque and even though we on the main road there was hardly any traffic.||So in summary, I enjoyed my time here in Venice and the Mezzosale just made it better. Also their ground floor restaurant...

The Locanda is directly above the restaurant bearing the same name, in the "main road" of Conegliano; there are only a few rooms, very nicely decorated.||||The rooms are very clean, very freshly decorated. Not big, but comfortable. ||||Price is extremely reasonable. ||||There are a few things though, that you need to take into account, not necessarily negative, but important. ||||Being centrally located, you can barely get there by car, and you need to tell them registration, make, colour, etc etc. You can bring the car ONLY for bringing in your suitcases and when you leave. Now, if you leave on Friday, tough luck - there's the market and it's IMPOSSIBLE to come by car. ||||As the locanda is linked to the restaurant, you better check in when the bar-restaurant is open. If you come there early afternoon, you risk to wait a bit that the lady will come (shes very kind, BTW). ||||Finally, the church beside it start very early to use the bells, I guess to tell anyone it;s time to get up.
