Pastificio Russo — Restaurant in Corleone

An experience to forget!!! Avoid this place at all costs… We are an American family traveling in Sicily, and we decided to stop and eat at this restaurant in Corleone. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Starting with the food: it was mediocre at best. But the real problem was the behavior of the staff and the way we were treated. When we were presented with the bill, we noticed that the prices were inflated compared to those listed on the menu, an unacceptable and dishonest practice.

Furthermore, during our meal, we briefly stepped out to visit a traditional barber shop right next to the restaurant, as suggested by the same lady who was handling the tables and the register. When we returned, the cheese plates we had ordered and barely tasted had mysteriously disappeared from the table. It was clear they had been “recycled” for other customers, which is truly disgusting.

The service was incredibly slow: we waited 30 minutes just to place our order and then another hour to receive the first course, all while there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant. But the worst part was the rude attitude of the lady. She was particularly disrespectful to my grandfather, likely because he was wearing a Vietnam veteran’s hat, which made the experience even more unpleasant.

After waiting another 25 minutes to receive the bill, we left with the clear feeling of having been scammed and mistreated. If you find yourself in Corleone, I strongly advise you to avoid this place. There are definitely better, more honest, and welcoming options nearby.

UPDATE: Instead of apologizing the owner is telling me that we are leaving the review on the wrong restaurant, then why do we have a photo with your cheese plate and the qr code with the name of your place next to it? Again you confirm your...

Piacevolissima scoperta. Io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati piacevolmente ed eccezionalmente accolti dal proprietario nonostante fossero le 16 del pomeriggio per pranzare presso il suo locale. Un pastificio artigianale che sa di qualità e storia siciliana. Oltre al buon cibo con salumi e formaggi freschissimi e pregiati, bruschette fatte in casa con pane locale e un eccellente primo consigliato da loro, abbiamo avuto il piacere di scambiare quattro chiacchiere con una persona dedita al lavoro e fedele alle tradizioni oltre che cordialissima ed educatissima. È stato un piacere conoscere anche l’ottima cuoca. Entrambi ci hanno raccontato la loro storia e abbiamo con piacere ascoltato e condiviso piacevolmente questi momenti.

Nota di merito anche per l’attenzione e la cura dell’ arredamento e dello stile del locale: ha carattere e storia da raccontare; comunica benissimo la sua identità culturale e ad oggi non è sicuramente facile riuscire a manterla tale.

Oltre al pranzo in orario tardivo, abbiamo portato a casa pasta fresca di loro produzione, anche qui cura per il packaging e per la qualità dei prodotti!

Davvero un’eccellenza dai quali prendere spunto e nei quali risiede forte il desiderio di riconoscimento e valorizzazione locale.

We went to Corleone because of the history of mafia and this place looked as the best place to eat in the city center. Before the visit we saw reference on the internet that at this place they make the best pasta in Sicily. Well, it was very good but honestly I have better pasta's in my lifes.
