While staying at a villa in Pergo, we traveled down one of the little back roads and stumbled upon this gem. We called a made a reservation for that same evening. The setting is charming, service was marvelous and the food delicious..there were 4 of us and we shared several starter dishes- the bread salad (one of our favorites) was fresh and full of flavor, the eggplant parmesan (stacked eggplant with fresh sauce and cheese), and the gnocchi in mushroom truffle sauce ( very rich, earthy & creamy) were enjoyed by all of us. The couple we traveled with ordeyed the hamburger to split- they said it was one of the best they've ever had, and my husband & I split the filet with peppercorn sauce. It was very tender and not too large and the sauce was fantastic. We polished off 3 bottles of their house red wine (only 10€ a bottle). The dinner was an excellent value at under 100€ for everything. We wish we had discovered it sooner so we couldon't go back...

I spent a few nights here in July with my parents as we were attending a wedding nearby. We had booked this mostly on the basis that it was conveniently located, but quickly realised that we'd hit the jackpot! It's a beautiful and extremely well looked after property with spacious and charming rooms, beautifully kept garden and a lovely pool. Everything is squeaky clean and we were warmly but discreetly welcomed. The management also kindly took it upon themselves to try and help me out with a lost baggage situation, which was very much appreciated. And the restaurant!!! I know it is difficult to eat badly in that area, but the food here was exceptional! Best panzanella I ever had and I also recommend the steak with pepper sauce. At first I thought too much sauce, but it was the lightest, most delicious sauce to perfectly accompany the meat. Great wines of course too! Hope to be...
