Outside of Cortona along the mountain and plain. Nice view and outdoor dining. We went back a second time, because after a week there we wanted something simple, near our villa, and not up on the hill in Cortona. The server, an older Italian man, took our order both times. He pulled up a chair, sat down, and immediately established himself as the boss. The first time was okay. The second time as soon as he saw us he flashed a VERY UNPLEASED look at us. Dinner came and the food was good, but not near memorable. My wife said she hoped there would be tiramisu when we finished dinner since it had run out the first time. When I had the chance to ask the waiter to please, if possible, save us two for after dinner. There was a back and forth, and I emphasized please if possible, and explained why which he said he understood. Two minutes later he came back and with obvious disdain dropped two plates of tiramisu that looked like piles of you know what. I would like to add, the Senora working the cash register was very nice and professional, and insured our bill was correct…which it was not…and corrected the bill right after...
Read moreSuch a shame to post this review as the food was nice and the prices were great, however, the staff were incredibly rude and ignored us throughout the evening, seemingly finding other jobs to do despite us asking for service. We ended up leaving before dessert due to being ignored by the male head waiter for over an hour. This place was a staple for us everytime we visited the area each year and we’ve been left feeling unwelcome and unvalued which is totally against our experience in other restaurants in the area. We were rushed through our order and then errors were made by the servers. We won’t be returning after complaining (with an Italian native speaker in our party) but they did not accept any responsibility or apologise. Absolutely awful service and you’ll get a far more usual wonderful “Tuscan welcome” by taking your custom to one of the other great local restaurants.

Buena relacion calidad precio y...
