This restaurant feels like a bit of a scam. Sure you’re going to eat pizza which at most costs €20 but they add €4 cover per person and the wine list is way more expensive than anywhere in my 2 weeks travelling around Italy. For your cover charge you get absolutely nothing, not even a piece of bread like every other restaurant in Italy. To top it off when you go to pay they ask you to select a tip from either 10, 20, or 30%. Food was decent but not amazing and the ambience is really nice but overall felt this was a money making tourist trap devoid of any hospitality. Children running around everywhere unsupervised too.
Response to owner: the fact you listed basic running costs like staff training and setting tables as justification for your above normal service charge while giving nothing in return and then also prompting customers to tip up to 30% on top just proves my point. Your entire operation is a profit maximising exercise and that is very much felt by customers. I know all restaurants are in business to make money but others manage to do it in way that feels hospitable...
Read moreThe food was really good, the pizzas were honestly some of the best we’ve had. Unfortunately, I’m giving 2 stars because I don’t remember the last time I felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable at a restaurant.
I usually don’t mind a standoffish service, but the staff here showed no basic courtesy: no greeting, no eye contact, no warmth or human interaction at all.
Ordering felt like talking to a robot with its tablet, they left plates hanging off the table only to run off to record a voice message, coming to our table only to whisper and giggle among themselves while ignoring us then walking away with no word.
The hostess pretended like there is no table available, even though the place was clearly half empty at 10 PM and then stopped at the bar to chat with her colleagues for a few minutes before casually walking back to us.
The space itself looks nice but comes off as overly pretentious for what is, in the...
Read moreGreat pizza. Unfortunately there is a wasp infestation! Without exaggeration I could not relax for more than 20 seconds at a time before having to waft away more wasps. There were plenty other tables having exactly the same issue, the waiters seemed used to and unfazed to this problem. Only after we had finished the whole meal did they offer to move us inside, after acknowledging and watching the clear wasp problem. Upon asking for feedback on their service I had said there were too many wasps, and one blank look later I was asked to insert my card as fast as possible to get the next person in instead of wanting to compensate their guests in any way or try and gain a repeat customer. If you want great tasting pizza with wasps all over it and half attentive staff then this is the...
