We booked in via T.A. for an overnight stay on business nearby. Plenty of safe parking in the municipal car park opposite the Locanda. A fantastic warm welcome from a wonderful lady who couldn't do enough for us; from the initial "we need to relax" beer, through showing us round, a superb evening meal (no problem that we were slightly late back as business ran over), all of a very high standard, to breakfast the next morning, a veritable surfeit of indulgence. Wonderful! Evening menu is packed with choice, Piedmontese, locally sourced and very fresh. Extensive wine list too. Breakfast is buffet or/and cooked eggs, an extensive variety of pastries and savouries, breads, cheeses hams, - set us both up for the day. Coffee first class. The room was comfy, and extrovert, which we like, and we felt very at home. Our Italian is deplorable, (nil) shame on us, but we all spoke French and it worked perfectly. You will over-indulge. As a hotel from which to explore the region I would say its perfect. Highly recommended. (and thank you)...

I had the pasta with mushrooms which was very tasty and rather filling. For the mains, both the Beef in Barolo and the Duck was excellent. We finished off with with a wonderful selection of local cheeses along with a bottle of Chinato which is a digestive made from old Barolo wine and some Limocello. All in all a...
