Urban Fish — Restaurant in Dervio

Really disappointed with this restaurant. It looks very nice, but the food is average and the prices are way too high. This restaurant was the most expensive, yet the most disappointing restaurant we have visited on our trip to Italy.

Tonight was our last night in Italy, so we were looking for somewhere a bit different and special to have dinner. It was a very nice looking venue with a nice design and atmosphere. We were greeted and taken to our table. We then waited a very long time for anyone to attend our table to take our order. There seemed to only be 2 people attending the whole restaurant, and it seemed like we weren’t the only table to wait too long for service. We placed our order, which included wine, Focaccia, Beef and the Urban Fish Fried dish. The focaccia was okay. The beef was very small and undercooked (we requested it medium and it came rare) and the Urban Fish Fried dish was nothing special. The fish dish stated that it came with vegetables, but the only vegetables in the dish were a few very small pieces of fried zucchini. The prices were far too high for the quality of food and service we received. I would not come back to...

The restaurant was empty so we thought we would pop in for some food. We didn't have a reservation and they could have turned us away if that was a problem - but they didn't (fair enough). But for the whole meal we felt very unwelcome when we ate here. We asked for the bill and waited over half an hour to the point where we had to stand up and go get it. We probably could have just walked and not paid because they were so pre-occupied with themselves and they probably wouldn't have even noticed. Just generally got the vibe that we were in the way.

The food was sub-par. The lasagne was like a dogs dinner. The pasta and the appetizer we had was alright - so can't complain on that one too much. Food generally just wasn't memorable apart from how expensive it was. Definitely better places to eat in Dervio /Bellano (a short trip away) as this was the worst place we ate on...

The restaurant is beautiful inside and out with a lovely view of the lake. Unfortunately we left feeling a bit disappointed.

We were hoping to have a more upmarket dining experience based on atmosphere and prices.

We were sat down and waited for a long time before we received any attention.

When we were served we were asked to give our full order (appetiser and main) at once. Unfortunately though we then got all the food very quickly and all in one go. We also had to ask for any water for the table.

The bread was brought to the table when we’d already nearly finished eating, and the steak which was ordered medium was very undercooked.
