We had an absolutely fantastic evening at Time. This place is a hidden gem in a peaceful little town of Diso. Who could have thought that behind the doors of a little seems to be a cafe can be found a true gourmet place.
Luckily the menu is not big which is always a good sign. It offers an adequate variety of typical pugliese dishes with a fine touch of a modern twist. Lots of fish, mussels, pasta and not to forget burrata and a short but a well selected list of wines.
Everything is profoundly balanced in taste and is beautifully presented on plates. No alibi piles of salad or raw rosemary branches, only the dish and well thought through accompanying edible garnish.
We highly recommend to try the grilled pulpo bedded on a cream of lemony potatoes, fried carrots smoked burrata and finished with a little touch of herbal cream aside. It truly is a circle of perfectly combined ingredients technically very well performed. The softness of the pulpo is unique. This evening we followed the sea side of the menue and tried also the incredibly juicy gilthead seebream with herbs, slowly baked in a parchment coat alongside grilled vegetables with fresh mint which is an amazing twist to freshen up a well known side dish.
The al dente pasta maritata, a marriage between two typical types of pugliese pasta, with seafood was as good as it sounds. You don't have to play with molecules to create a truly modest and well defined taste. Just the combination of the best quality products, perfect technique and a huge portion of amore for what you are creating.
Not to forget the hand made pastries and desserts, the artisanal gelato the team makes. My favourite was the heavenly soft short pastry pie with a lemon pastry cream and little hand made pralines, especially the pistachio ones.
We will definitely come back to try more and to support local slow food places that should...
Read moreCoffee time was a LIFESAVER for me and my guests that spent time in Diso for my wedding this Oct.2023. We rented a villa close to Coffee Time and we definitely loved hoping over to Coffee Time for food and our daily espresso. They also helped catered our first day there in Diso. I had reached out to Andrea via Instagram asking about catering for 26 people and they were QUICK to respond. They were so responsive from day one. They even delivered to our villa. The only thing that I would of changed is maybe I would of ordered less food. There was MORE than enough food. We had so much leftovers. The portions were large but I can't really complain. Honestly the food was delicious and we were very happy! They also baked our wedding cake and it was SOOOO YUMMY!! Next time your in Diso you HAVE to go to...
