Pizzeria Braceria Le Trote — Restaurant in Dolceacqua

It's a beautiful place, the setting is perfect and it's easy to find, also with good parking space. We loved the lady who welcomed us but felt that there was a bit of confusion among the staff as in turn 4 tried to get our attention and follow them. In the end we recognised the lady as the owner and followed her to our table. The waiters were very nervous, agitated, even if the place was still half empty, walking back and forward across the tables without doing anything, shouting at each other, not giving us any time to decide what to order. One of them kept coming at the table "have you decided" every 2 seconds, as if 2 secs later would have made a difference! There was young tall boy with curly hair a bit rude as I asked with a big smile what my next table guests were having as it looked delicious. His answer was to point at the meat fridge saying "It's on the menu, it's not as if we didn't tell you..."... Seriously? Where did he learn his manners? Apart from these staffing notes, we enjoyed our meal, the quality of the ingredients is high, staff in the kitchen are obviously very good, and the owners are very welcoming, hard...

We have always wanted to eat at this restaurant as we have a olive grove nearby but it seemed to have really been open for business only post covid. We stopped by for a quick lunch and were not disappointed. Lovely locally sourced Ingredients and a varied and interesting menu. Service was friendly and efficient and the waiter spoke 3 languages, English French and Italian. Very reasonably priced with 2 mains sparkling water bottle of wine and coffees at under 50€. We sat out on a terrace overlooking the car park so ambience not great although we were advised that a pergola was going to be built which will make it more pleasant. E' da qualche anno che frequentiamo questo locale. Mimmo e il suo staff ci hanno sempre accolto bene. Purtroppo ieri e' stata l'ultima volta, non ci torneremo piu' a causa del servizio .

1. prenotato per 10 alle 21:30 e seduti alle 22:00 (siamo in vacanza nessuna fretta).
2. una cameriera, di una maleducazione unica, ci fa "accampare" in una tavola composta da tavoli di diverse altezze e misure nel giardino a ridosso del parcheggio auto.
3. le faccio notare che le tovagliette erano state posizionate a cavallo dei tavoli con uno scalino di 3/4 cm e quindi come poteva pretendere che andasse bene una cosa del genere. Lei sbuffando lancia la tovaglietta e si allontana!
4. vista l'ora e con 3 minori decidiamo di sederci ma per la cronaca non abbiamo potuto cenare vicini tra commensali perche' eravamo divisi da un ombrellone che impediva il posizionamento delle sedie. Quindi un gruppo da una parte e gli altri dall'altra.
5. i nostri figli avevano un filo della corrente di una lampada che tagliava il tavolo a meta' e una bimba di 11 anni avrebbe dovuto, sempre secondo la cameriera (inadeguata), cenare con il collo piegato per evitare il contatto con la 220V. Grazie a Dio e' venuto in nostro soccorso un ragazzo molto gentile che ha chiesto scusa per il disagio, riconoscendo il grado di pericolo, quindi ha sganciato la lampada appoggiandola sul tavolo.
6. cena al buoio, vino arrivato alla seconda portata, patatine dei ragazzi servite alle 23:20....serata nell'insieme ovviamente da dimenticare. Avevo insistito io con gli amici ad andare a cena da Mimmo, ma questa volta mi e' andata malissimo!!!

Auguro al Ristorante Le Trote tutte le fortune del mondo. Mi sento di suggerire piu' attenzione alla sicurezza pubblica, all'organizzazione delle prenotazioni e occhio al personale che non puo' trattare in malo modo cosi' i clienti.
