We were in a hurry to get down to check in at the hotel before 18 o’clock so such a pity we only had time for a drink but not for food. It was worth a hike up there, the view is breathtaking…. could stay here all day. We took the bus from St. Magdalena up to Zans parking and then took the trail number 36. This trail takes about 1 hour 40 minutes (we did it in 1 and 20) to Geisleralm. I think this trail is better than the 34 (this we took as the way down). The trail 36 is steep but after Glatschalm , the trail is quite even and nicer to walk with here and there a point with...

What an amazing place! Kitchen opened at 11 on Sunday. We tried their hearty south tyrolian beef goulash and polenta for the first time. A bit salty but probably needed after a long hike. Portions are generous! Vegetable soup was very well made. We tried Kaiserschmarrn (a shredded pancake with a texture a bit different than typical pancakes- probably mixed with egg)- dusted with sugar and served with cranberry/apple sauce for dessert- it was so good! Views are stunning of the Odle/...

At the end of our hike, we had lunch in here. They served traditional and typical South Tyrolean dishes. It was particularly busy on that day ( the other restaurant was closed ) we waited for about 30 minutes before we got our food. We ordered goulash with canederli and elderberry juice for our drinks. Food was great ! Prices are average. The Geisler/Odle peaks is just behind the restaurant. We had an...

It was particularly busy on that day ( the other restaurant was closed ) we waited for about 30 minutes before we got our food. We ordered goulash with canederli and elderberry juice for our drinks. Food was great ! Prices are average. The Geisler/Odle peaks is just behind the restaurant. We had an amazing view !
