So…let’s start. First thing first, theу knew that we are in organised tourists group and we don’t have the unlimited time to spend there. The menu they brought us was a flying piece of thin paper, full of wrinkles and wholes here and there (the restaurant known to be fancy and stuff), second of all, when we just asked what the “catch of the day” fish is, the only thing the waiter said was “it’s a seabass, perfect for two”, he did not explain to us that it takes so mich time to prepare the fish, or saying how big exactly the fish was(because of that it depends how much you are gonna pay, and maybe it’s easy money from tourists). We’ve waited a long time, all of the others from our group had their dishes finished, when we were still waiting. Anyway, here comes the fish(5 mins past the time of meeting with our tour guide, of course) great presentation, huge fish, still don’t have a clue how big it is actually, the waiter “clean” and serve the fish in our plates but left so many of the meat and the skin(we love the skin) on the main plate and took it away without asking if we wanted it or not, they took our bread as well(we haven’t had finished it) and for a dessert i found few big fish bones in my mouth while i was chewing. To sum up, we ate around 300g of meat from a 1.1kg fish and payed 95€. One of the most stressful and unpleasant experiences we had here. Also the toilets-trashy af. Ask for everything you want to order at least TWICE, because ause otherwise they’ll give you the most...
Read moreIf there is a chance to give ZERO STARS, I'd love to do that. First of all, when we came on the terrace, and said that we want to drink coffee until we decide what we're going to eat, he said that we must go inside because if you want to sit on the terrace you have to order some food. I repeated that we're going to eat, then he said okay. By the way, few minutes later one gentleman entered directly on the terrace and ordered one coffee, they gave him and said nothing about moving inside. Then he left... Second, we ordered two double espressos, we got two Americanos (I asked if those are doubles, he said yes they are, and they were bloody americanos!) We ordered squid, we got them (average taste, nothing special). We also ordered one desert and we said that we will order famous cake Baba after we finish main course, we got the same desert as the other one. We refused that dessert, they were like confused but have returned. After all of that, some kind of manager or waiter brought us the check without even asking us and first thing he said "we recieve tips only in cash".. Ofcourse we refused to tip someone for bad or NO SERVICE at all, they haven't even said goodbye on our leaving.. Food can be at most 3 stars, but service and discomfort that we got is rated ZERO! One portion of squid, one dessert, 3 espressos and 2 coke zero,...
Read morePrice not worth quality. The restaurant is nice, it looks new and clean. The service was pleasant and it has a nice view. One thing that we didn’t like and hence the review, is the following situation: our waiter didn’t provide the menu, despite the fact that we asked for it twice and enticed us to try a perfect meal for three on fair price (our group size - myself, husband and 6y child) - spaghetti with langustas and cherry tomatoes grown on the Vesuvius. We agreed to it, deciding to trust his judgment and meanwhile I treated myself to a glass of house wine while waiting for the main meal and one more glass with the meal. We ordered an appetizer of fried calamari. The food was good quality, I wouldn’t say it was exquisite, the appetizer tasted more greasy and battered than expected and the sea food felt a bit chewy (overcooked). All this for the “fair” price of 120 euro for the langustas, 30 euro for the fried calamari and 10 euro per glass of house wine, copertos excluded (which also were twice as much as the ones we had at a Michelin star restaurant in Ravello). We felt cheated, to say the least - given we’ve had better sea food at other nice places for half the price. Can’t give more than a 3...
