Ristorante Acquerello — Restaurant in Fagnano Olona

I am no expert by any means, but based on my observation of cooking shows, and hanging out with several upper-classed "foodies", many of the fancy-pantsed chefs and skinny rich white people that eat sometimes argue that top tier cuisine is supposed to be 'interesting', or indicate that a 'refined pallet' is required to enjoy things that are rare and therefore expensive...

That said, I'd often wondered, can't these chefs make these 'interesting' flavor and sometimes 'rare' things also taste really, really good? Well, this was the first fine dining experience I thoroughly enjoyed in the US.

Si arriva in questa via del centro storico e guardando l'insegna in ferro battuto ti accorgi in fondo della statua di Garibaldi che a fine '800 ha contribuito all'unità dell'Italia. Si entra in un cortiletto silenzioso che ti conduce in un luogo appartato e riservato. Alla porta viene ad accoglierti Giorgia che con grazia ed eleganza ti conduce nella sala affrescata che ti riporta nelle campagne delle nostre colline italiane. Giorgia ti accompagna ad un ampio tavolo ed appena ti siedi nelle comode poltroncine comincia il viaggio tra le sensazioni, i sapori ed i colori che si sperimentano per tutta la serata. La discreta musica in sottofondo ti accompagna piacevolmente. Ogni proposta evidenzia lo studio e la passione che esprime chef Silvio, che dal mattino presto prepara ed analizza ogni particolare e grazie anche all'aiuto di un grande chef orientale espande ancor di più le prospettive culinarie mantenendo le tradizioni e può permettersi con discrezione di assicurarsi con i commensali del loro compiacimento. La serata scorre piacevolmente ed ogni piatto proposto accende curiosità e porta soddisfazione ed al momento dei saluti, senti di aver conosciuto grandi professionisti che regalano un'esperienza che sicuramente si vorrà riprovare....
