5* for both the regular dining restaurant AND for the cooking class experience - both phenomenal!
Fuori Menu the restaurant just keeps getting better and better. Locating on the main road in charming Fasano, perfect for visitors and locals alike. They are really sweet with the kids too. I have been for dinner many times over the years, most recently a few nights ago. The main menu as well as the starters were delicious... perfectly balanced with a mix of traditional and creative. The antipasta in particular was one of the best I've had in Puglia (and I've had a lot!).
This year, I booked their cooking class for a group of out of town guests. Antonio, the chef, conducted the class himself. It's clear that he was born to cook. Such a respect for the classical processes and local ingredients. His colleague translated the class, but - even for those that didn't speak Italian - everything was clear. We made mozzerella, foccacia, and orecchiette. We learned a lot, laughed a ton, and the pictures were legendary. Piling around the table at the end, eating the fruits of our labor, was an experience none of us will forget. Will rebook with zero hesitation for the next group of friends.
A must-try when in...

The menu calls it "the most famous focaccia of Puglia" and it probably is. We then enjoyed 4 yummy, traditional appetizers. I had a special pasta which consisted of fresh pici in what tasted like a mild lobster stock, topped with a petite lobster tail, and I am still thinking about it. We were too full for dessert but received a plate of complimentary meringues for a sweet last bite. Chef Antonio then stopped by our table which we appreciated.
