Tucked away in a quiet little corner, this trattoria feels warm and homey the moment you walk in. What really blew me away though was the food way better than you’d ever expect from such a modest spot. The kitchen turns out dishes that are both thoughtful and full of flavor, and you can really tell the whole team works together perfectly. There’s a kind of harmony between them that comes through on the plate. What I loved most is the creative twist in every dish, it’s not your usual, straightforward Pugliese cooking. If you want something a bit different from the classic seafood-focused menus around here, El Cortiletto is definitely worth checking out. You’ll leave pleasantly surprised and probably planning...

On the quality/cost dimension, Il Cortiletto is a true gastronomic phenomenon that rightly deserves the plaudits that it has received. Given all the positive reviews the restaurant has received, I can add little more than that we had such an enjoyable dinner that we returned the next day for lunch. This was perhaps a mistake, as I was surprised to find the menu unchanged from that of dinner the night before. This perhaps is Il Cortilletto's 'Achilles Heal' in that, in my experience, when a restaurant relies on a formula it can easily become stale. If the owner(s) read this I would encourage them to be brave and experiment a bit more - and certainly via a different lunch menu. Otherwise, 'mille...

Absolute pleasure and an experience. Hidden in the small town of Speziale, Il Cortiletto provides fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.

Exterior seating recommended for sure, it's something magical. Food was fresh, with attention to detail. I also appreciated the fact the antipasti we're being served one by one and not brought to the table at once. Their twist on parmigiana was both light and filling. I also never had better pecorino cheese than here. Finished with semifreddo as a dessert and again, I was not disappointed. The choice of music also helped to create the overall cozy atmosphere. Couldn't...

God cooks in Italy! This restaurant - a hidden gem in its truest sense - is absolutely amazing and highly recommendable. Il Cortiletto - on Via Lecce 91, directly located on the SS16 road from Fasano towards Ostuni - is the Italian olymp of 'la cucina della mama'! Everything we had for lunch tasted extremely delicious. It was like eating in heaven. The atmosphere is both simple and magic and it seems as if only local crowd and best kitchen connaisseurs assemble there to celebrate their senses while eating with pure joy. One of my very best experiences in Puglia! www.trattoriailcortiletto.it
