What really blew me away though was the food way better than you’d ever expect from such a modest spot. Given all the positive reviews the restaurant has received, I can add little more than that we had such an enjoyable dinner that we returned the next day for lunch. This was perhaps a mistake, as I was surprised to find the menu unchanged from that of dinner the night before. This perhaps is Il Cortilletto's 'Achilles Heal' in that, in my experience, when a restaurant relies on a formula it can easily become stale. Exterior seating recommended for sure, it's something magical. Food was fresh, with attention to detail.
