Gustincanto — Restaurant in Fidenza

A group of 8 friends met to have a drink and appetizers. We ordered a bottle of white wine. The server poured the taste and it was bad. You could smell that the wine has spoiled, the bottle was bad. The server took the bottle to the bar and then returned saying No we tried and it’s not bad. I was shocked! She gave us all a pour. None of us could drink this wine. It had turned yellow, cloudy and smelt rotten. We ended up ordering a different bottle this time Prosecco and it was very good.

It was obvious we weren’t happy with the wine, especially when at the end of the night, our table still had glasses of amber colored spoiled wine on the table!

Ne ho visitati e recensiti diversi e ... Insomma.... Si presenta bene, l'ambiente è carino, forse un grado in più non avrebbe guastato, una valida selezione di vini. Ordinato: due antipasti : animelle ( purtroppo maltrattate - come se fossero state riscaldate al microonde perchè in alcune parti erano temperatura ambiente, in altre caldissime e stracotte - sottolineo purtroppo perchè l'animella è un prodotto davvero eccezionale) e porzione di culatello, valido, ben stagionato senza sentori di nocciola, taglio da rivedere, ma comunque buono. A seguire due primi: Paccheri e cappelletti. I primi crudi (ok la callosità del pacchero che mi aspetto ordinando un formato di pasta del genere, ma qui a mio avviso si sta esagerando), cappelletti validi, soprattutto il brodo (che ci stava a scaldare un po' il tutto). A seguire due secondi: Guancialini di maiale con salsa al cioccolato e porri al timo, buona la cottura della carne ma il cioccolato "asfaltava" davvero tutto, quindi il porro non si sentiva per niente e la carne perdeva un po'; e Pluma di maialino iberico: PIATTO DAVVERO VALIDO con un grasso ben gestito e una parte magra che si è mantenuta molto morbida (ovviamente). Per chiudere un dolce da condividere: sbrisolona che se la cavava bene, ottima consistenza, frutta secca ben tostata e bilanciata. Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di Gutturnio Superiore (volevamo un accompagnamento rosso ma non troppo persistente o tannico) Il servizio da rivedere: tempi di attesa un po' eccessivi tra una portata e l'altra se si considera poi che in tutta la sala eravamo in 11, ci è stato portato via tutto quanto in un blitz con ancora l'ultimo boccone da mandare giù prima di ordinare in fretta dolce e caffè. Very nice bar - restaurant, in a peripheral area of Fidenza. Here, we can find not only a wide selection of spirits for the aperitif but also a good choice of food from the menu. The nice-looking staff is very friendly and efficient.
