Gorgeous film like setting. The apartment was roomy and had a kitchenette that we could prepare meals. But why would you with the restaurant downstairs? Every morning we had a breakfast of yogurt and fruits of the farm with tea, coffee and sparkling water. Dinner is where this place really shines. We had delicious and thoughtful Ligurian dishes where 3 vegetarians and 2 meat lovers were completely satisfied. Dinners would go late into the evening since no meal was under 3 courses. This farm makes wine and it was enjoyed by everyone in our group nightly. Don't miss out on the white wine. It's light in alcohol with full mineral body, unlike anything I have had in California. I understand the hype now.|There's a stone lined pond on the farm where you may see a horse or a family of pigs just wandering about while you soak. |The hiking in this area is also good, there are stone markers to guide you. If you're adventurous walk into town, it's about an hour hike down trails with postcard views of the Mediterranean Sea. The walk back was too steep and strenuous for me but my travel partners tried it on more than one occasion. |When you get to the sea, take the extra long walk under the castle and rent deck/beach chairs. If you're planning on everyday use--rent one for the duration of your stay. |This farm is set above the town and far enough away that it was a challenge to get a taxi at night. However our hosts new of a company that would drive us up (sometimes not up the dirt road to farm) and we used the company nearly every night, often the same driver (Padre di Giovani) who was very charming. |The price for accommodations and dinning were extremely reasonable. Really an excellent value.||I loved it here and if this is the only place I ever visit in Italy I would be perfectly...

Read moreBest vegan Hotel/restaurant with awesome hospitality
Breakfast was fantastic, great coffee, self-made marmelade, yoghurt for vegans (coat, soy) with great information for sightseeing, hiking or biking.
We can absolutely recommend the VEGAN food / dinner. During our residence we had every day different food which was a multi-course menu. Dani and her crew are the best VEGAN cooks what we ever tasted. The homemade wine (also vegan) is excellent. This was one reason for booking Valleponci!!!
Gorgio, Dani, Pietro and Serena are a great family with big hearts and awesome hospitality. We can recommend every biker/hiker to visit this restaurant or hotel. In summer VALLEPONCI has a big garden with great atmosphere for long nights with an awesome wine.
The reasen for our trip which starts/ ends with Valleponci We planned a trip for biking/hiking in finale ligure. Fortunately we found the magic place VALLEPONCI between the mountains and forest. This place is awesome. Comfortable atmosphere, calm and a great starting point for hiking and biking.
The room(blue) was great, a big room where we had the possibility to store all our stuff. Also heating with pallets was no problem in december.
For my next trip I definitive will book Valleponci again because it was an awesome residence during bad winter days in Germany. I can highly recommend this stay for...
