If you’re staying near the Rome Airport (FCO) or want to leave Rome for an evening by the sea, Tre Nodi is gem of a restaurant right on the beach. Isabella, the owner, designed and built the restaurant with her family and it’s a beautiful piece of architecture.
More important, though, the food and drinks they serve are extraordinary and delicious. We were immediately served the best focaccia we’ve ever had and it’s homemade each day. We ordered their French fries as a side and, several days later, I can still taste the homemade aioli sauce that came with it. Our entrées were excellent and the dessert, again, was homemade.
Isabella is very gracious and engaging and took the time to greet us and explain the history of her restaurant. She’s assembled a great team of chefs who each contribute something special to the menu and our waiter, Ricardo, was very knowledgable and courteous to us as well.
We promise you’ll have an exceptional and memorable visit to Tre Nodi....

After dinner, I retired to their “lounge area” with comfy furniture set in the sand. I watched the sunset while digesting my meal. It...
