Le Palme — Restaurant in Florence

Yesterday I came here with my sister and my boyfriend for dinner. The restaurant is charming and bright, and the food seemed good. It was full of people. Unfortunately, they were short-staffed and although we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving, the staff was not attentive to us. We sat with the dirty plates of the prior party for more than 25 minutes. It took forever to order, even just water or drinks. They did not clean our table, just putting new glasses and silverware on top of the previously used table. It was more than an hour before we were served our food. Amazing!!! It is a local place with mainly local customers but they were very welcoming to us, tourists too. The one waiter who spoke fluent English could not been more helpful. The food was simply amazing. I would not hesitate to come back. In fact, although we are moving on to the Tuscany, we might come back again while we are in Italy. The place is simply decorated but the bustling of Italian customers and the chatter creates a lovely, authentic atmosphere. The only improvement I would suggest is more or better ACs inside. Prima di ieri sera avrei dato 5 stelle e, se fossi andato ieri sera per la prima volta, avrei dato una stella Mi spiace perché siamo andati più volte e sempre servizio e portate sono state sempre ottime, ma ieri sera un incubo, primo abbiamo fissato un tavolo per 8 e abbiamo dovuto aspettare fuori per quasi 20 minuti, può succedere, ma quello che è successo dopo è stato peggio, per più di 15 minuti non è venuto nessuno per le ordinazioni, poi dopo un'altra mezz'ora di attesa per avere i primi antipasti, ordinato cozze impepata e ci sono arrivate in guazzetto nel pomodoro, fatto notare, non sto a dire l'arrampicata sugli specchi per giustificare la cosa. Ma quello che ci ha fatto più arrabbiare è che dopo 2, dico 2,ore a due persone non è arrivato niente di quello ordinato e che alle nostre lamentele è arrivato, presumo il proprietario, che ci ha detto, "ma se siete arrivati ora". Tralascio quello che è successo dopo, ma una cosa la voglio dire e che può succedere una serata storta, ma non mettetevi a tu per con i clienti cercando scuse assurde, bastava chiedere scusa, anche perché, ripeto, le esperienze precedenti erano...
