Emporio di Ines — Restaurant in Foiano della Chiana

We’ve been coming to Emporio Di Ines as a family every summer since it opened, and last night, seeing them so busy made us so happy and proud! Not just tourists, but actual Italians travelling to tiny Pozzo for their amazing ‘small plates’ that says it all!

We had the best time yesterday, the vibe as always was perfect, gorgeous setting, all the thoughtful details, a great playlist, and super friendly staff who stayed calm even when it was a crazy full house. The food was delicious, and our son maintains the gelato is the best he’s ever had — high praise indeed!

I know not everyone will have the same experience or taste levels, and that’s fine. But it is a shame when people appear to arrive looking for faults. Busy means in demand, and buzzing with atmosphere — surely this is better than empty tables?

I'm pretty sure i know who it was that left the negative comments from yesterday and it makes me sad to see keyboard warriors in action, I saw the staff smile and wish this party well as they left - if their experience wasn’t as hoped, a little constructive feedback in person would have been far more humane than these passive aggressive posts afterwards.

Sono tornata per la terza volta ad Emporio di Ines per capire meglio. La prima volta qualche anno fa, esperienza assolutamente fantastica. Cibo semplicemente fenomenale ad un prezzo competitivo, la location molto ben sistemata (ma siamo sempre in un cortile sotto al livello della strada di una casa rurale risistemata in Val di Chiana, vista zero, romanticheria zero, mica alla Madonna di Vitaleta con vista sulla Val d'Orcia e gente che sviene con la sindrome di Stendhal! 😂). Al tempo, avrei dato 5 stelle ad occhi chiusi. La seconda volta è nato il dubbio: serviva la riprova. E ieri sera c'è stata. Questa la mia idea, certo, personale. Nulla da dire sul servizio. Amichevole ma efficiente. Ok. Bravi per il coperto a 2€, una rarità. Prima scelta nostra, sbagliata: Il prosecco a 30€, poco significativo, come se avesse subito una ossidazione eccessiva. Peccato. Io e la mia compagnia adoriamo il prosecco. Dovevamo segnalarlo. Eravamo troppo felici di vederci :( Pane ottimo, trattato male in quel sacchettino very cheap. Veramente buono. 10+ I taglierini zucchine e rigatino mancavano di sapienza: ingredienti ottimi, la trasformazione deludente. Rigatino croccante un po' da cercare nel piatto. Ma la sua sapidità avrebbe dato lo zic allo zucchino. Niente formaggio offerto o in tavola. La parmigiana ben fatta e molto equilibrata ma overpriced per una mini porzione. E, diciamocelo, sei chef? Sulla parmigiana non si discute: deve riuscire perfetta. Chips di zucchine: sì ci siamo, frittura perfetta, gustosa e leggera, un po' over cooked. Peccato per quei veli (chissà che fatica il commis che ha passato alla mandolina un miliardo di zucchine! Grazie!) un po' bruciacchiati. Invece il fritto "supplì, arancini e panelle", gustosissimo e ben fatto. Le panelle super. Peccato porzione tapas, ma, a €7.50, veramente ottimo. Carpaccio di una carne eccellente (Angus). Il dressing appropriato ma niente di emozionante. Col pane acquisiva 1000 punti. Gelato alla cannella: sicuro ingredienti validi, ancora trasformazione poco significativa. Reminescenze di cannella. È chiaro che stasera avevo tempo per scrivere ma sono felice di aver dato una recensione puntuale. Io ringrazio comunque perché in quel luogo è evidente che si fanno sforzi per riuscire bene. Forza. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Emporio di Ines, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is beautifully inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal.

The tapas menu was a wonderful surprise! Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing a delightful variety of options that made it fun to share and try different tastes. It's a great way to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

The service was outstanding as well. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience.
