For sure not the cheapest option around but nice food. This restaurant became popular after that it was shown in a TV show. The food is good quality and is mainly local. I advice you to go for an Antipasto (starter) and a main course (first course). The first courses seem more original than the second which I found a bit more boring. On the menu there are many types of meats (both mixed grill and steaks). There are two options of fish among the first courses and second courses although this is mainly a Grill house restaurant. We liked the gnocchi alla Sorrentina while the expensive Uruguayan grilled meat was nothing particularly special. The meat did not come with any complimentary side dish which I found weird. The Volsci Antipasto was ok. Italian espresso coffees were very good. For 2 people, a starter with a main dish and 2 glasses of wine, 2 espressos, we spent 93 euros. The restaurant has a modern decor, ok atmosphere but tables are too close to each other. The service is ok, nothing remarkable. I’m giving 3 stars because the price is above the average considering the location and the quality/quantity of what we ate.

Sono venuta a mangiare in questo ristorante con i miei amici nel nostro giorno di riposo e devo dire che ci ha lasciato abbastanza insoddisfatti. Innanzitutto siamo entrati nel locale ma non c'era nessuno ad accoglierci, ma pazienza. Poi abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi più di 30 minuti per i primi e quando ho chiesto perché ci stessero impiegando tanto, il cameriere ci ha risposto in modo molto freddo che è il tempo necessario per preparare le portate. Anche i tavoli che erano arrivati dopo di noi avevano già iniziato a mangiare mentre noi guardavamo ansiosamente verso la cucina, sinceramente è stata una situazione un po' imbarazzante. Inoltre avevo chiesto al cameriere che aveva preso la nostra ordinazione (che era anche il proprietario, presumo) di portare tutto insieme poiché avevamo una scadenza da rispettare dato che dovevamo prendere un treno per Milano, ma il secondo è arrivato almeno 20 minuti dopo i primi. Stavamo per arrivare in ritardo alla stazione dopo tutta questa lunga attesa. Le portate sono abbastanza abbondanti, ma niente di eccezionali nel gusto. Il prezzo per i primi è giusto ma quel giorno eravamo già abbastanza alterati per l'attesa per tanto lì per lì ci era sembrato eccessivo. Un particolare che ho notato è che la cameriera continuava a scordarsi le cose: aveva in mano un piatto ma non si ricordava a quale tavolo andasse portato e quindi era tornata in cucina a consultare le ordinazioni; poco dopo noi le avevamo chiesto i condimenti per l'insalata ma lei si era scordata finché non aveva di nuovo visto che la stavamo fissando e allora è nuovamente tornata in cucina...queste cose le abbiamo notate perché anche noi stessi siamo camerieri. Insomma io non vi consiglio di andare in questa osteria se volete essere seguiti con le giuste attenzioni.

Aho' me stavo a rifà na gitarella in sella alla mia amata Guzzi III targata Roma xxxxx sempre su per la Ciociaria e come l'artra vorta sull'Anticolana chi te vado a rincontrà? Eh si, sempre quelli che chiameno byker, che vordì poi non l'ho ancora capito, che n'artra vorta me ridicheno: "A nonnè ma stai ancora na vorta in giro cò sto catenaccio targato Cartagine? Che t'ho voi rigiocà che a vorta scorsa che te sei sarvato?" Me sò sarvato? Nun è che me ricordo bene com'annata l'artra vorta ma puro stavorta me dico che nun c'ho un catenaccio e seppur vetusta butto dentro a terza e apro a manetta. Ahò come ce so rimasti.. Curvo a manca e piego a dx, me riaddrizzo e sparo tutte e marce.. Moh c'è un incrocio, me ricordo solo na tabella, parla de n'Hosteria...no nun c'è l'H, dei Volsci, boh...vecchi popoli o monti che ne sò, fatto sta che me ritrovo de novo in braccio a n'artro omone che me dice che me dice pure lui de chiamasse Alessandro...Poi va in confusione e dice de esse Valerio. Gente strana da ste parti, c'è da sta attenti, ma ci si può tranquillamente lasciar guidare dal tal che poi scopro che si chiama in effetti Marco, lui ce mette la faccia, in un percorso fatto di tradizione ed innovazione che con grazia dei suoi collaboratori, che fanno il lavoro sporco, ti fa riscoprire e rende giustizia alla Ciociaria. Wow !!!! This restaurant is excellent , I personally travel a lot in the UK and to many European countries and I have to say that this restaurant is one of the best I've ever been too, the food the service the value and the atmosphere is first class , the owner who I met while in the restaurant is very professional and extremely knowledgeable on food and wine he offers , excellent local produce ... he's also very polite and welcoming . I suggest to all the people who are traveling on the highway between Rome and Naples you should stop here at this place much better than any service station . If you're ever read in frosinone take a visit , you won't be disappointed I guarantee , best regards Neil...

We went there on our way back from Pompeii to Rome and the food was all right... honestly the appetizers were amazing, but I ordered steak and it was not good! Expensive and they couldn't cook it correctly on an open flame... I had to send it back and it still came out wrong so the stake disappointing. I would have done more but the server barely came to our table that was another issue. We waited and waited to pay our check and finally flight someone else down! It was cool you could see the cooks make the food on the Open Flame so there was something to watch while we were there. Not going to be in a hurry to go...
