We had about the perfect lunch here today. The setting is of course beautiful, and nicely pleasant on a warm day in the shade. The service was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Julie, our main server was outstanding, helping with a few small requests and making some nice recommendations, and just making us feel welcome.

All of the food was great. Every dish. A rarity. The black cabbage truffle flan and the spaghetti with cuttlefish were outstanding. The amberjack filet as well. Even the chicken was an interesting take. I already regret not taking photos of the menu itself to remember these all better. The only dish in need of a bit of improvement perhaps, and this is nitpicking, was the steak with truffles. It needed a bit more salt and a bit more truffles as well to help boost the flavor. If it was only for the food, this would be a five-star review, since the menu has a great choice of plates and the food is super delicious and rich. But since we would like to review the restaurant experience as a whole, we can't unfortunately give more than three stars for the lack of service. Over several periods of time we were widely ignored by waiters and waitresses, even though the empty plates in front of us indicated that there was a need for them. We really had an appetite for a desert, but since we waited almost half an hour form only our plates to be taken away, and another ten minutes for another waiter to come with the deserts menu, we decided to just leave it, for we also had other appointments that day. I am quite sad about it, because the Osteria is nice and the food and wine so great, but the service truly spoiled...
