In occasione del Ferragosto, io e i miei familiari, abbiamo pranzato da Frai, una trattoria con un design ed un ambiente legato alla natura e alle tradizioni toscane. Il menù presentato è ben strutturato, formale e con prodotti nazionali e regionali. Ordiniamo come primo pasto un tagliere di formaggi misti e miele casereccio ; Posso sicuramente dire che i formaggi erano freschi e della zona ed il miele era delizioso. Passando ai primi abbiamo consumato un piatto di tagliatelle al ragù di cinghiale, dei tortelli ripieni con sopra salsa di pomodoro ed infine un piatto di pici con salsiccia. Tutti e tre i pasti erano eccezionali con una scelta di ingredienti di prima qualità e tipici della zona. Infine abbiamo scelto di concludere con dei dolci, un tiramisù, veramente prelibato, una caprese, anch'essa deliziosa e con l'aggiunta di pistacchi granulati e della panna cotta con caramello salato, il quale rendeva il dolce strabiliante. Inoltre posso confermare che, avendo prenotato con TheFork, il mio sconto è stato accettato. Per concludere ringrazio di cuore lo staff, gentile, responsabile e molto accogliente e la cucina per averci offerto dei prodotti mirabolanti. A presto.

English : On the occasion of Ferragosto, my family and I had lunch at Frai, a trattoria with a design and an environment linked to nature and Tuscan traditions. The menu presented is well structured, formal and with national and regional products. As a first meal we order a platter of mixed cheeses and homemade honey; I can definitely say that the cheeses were fresh and local and the honey was delicious. Moving on to the first courses, we had a plate of tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, stuffed tortelli with tomato sauce on top and finally a plate of pici with sausage. All three meals were outstanding with a choice of top quality ingredients and typical of the area. Finally we chose to conclude with desserts, a tiramisu, truly delicious, a caprese, also delicious and with the addition of granulated pistachios and panna cotta with salted caramel, which made the dessert amazing. I can also confirm that, having booked with TheFork, my discount has been accepted. In conclusion, I sincerely thank the staff, kind, responsible and very welcoming, and the kitchen for offering us some amazing products. See you soon.

Deutsch : Anlässlich von Ferragosto aßen meine Familie und ich im Frai zu Mittag, einer Trattoria mit einem Design und einer Umgebung, die mit der Natur und toskanischen Traditionen verbunden ist. Die präsentierte Speisekarte ist gut strukturiert, formal und enthält nationale und regionale Produkte. Als erste Mahlzeit bestellen wir eine Platte mit gemischten Käsesorten und hausgemachtem Honig; Ich kann definitiv sagen, dass der Käse frisch und regional war und der Honig köstlich war. Als wir zu den ersten Gängen übergingen, aßen wir einen Teller Tagliatelle mit Wildschweinsauce, gefüllte Tortelli mit Tomatensauce und schließlich einen Teller Pici mit Wurst. Alle drei Mahlzeiten waren hervorragend mit einer Auswahl an Zutaten höchster Qualität und typisch für die Region. Abschließend entschieden wir uns für den Abschluss mit Desserts, einem wirklich köstlichen Tiramisu, einer Caprese, ebenfalls köstlich und mit der Zugabe von granulierten Pistazien und Panna Cotta mit gesalzenem Karamell, was das Dessert fantastisch machte. Ich kann auch bestätigen, dass mein Rabatt angenommen wurde, nachdem ich bei TheFork gebucht habe. Abschließend möchte ich mich ganz herzlich beim Personal bedanken, das freundlich, verantwortungsbewusst und sehr gastfreundlich ist, und bei der Küche, die uns einige tolle Produkte angeboten...

We arrived without a reservation, and the place was full, but the staff kindly found us a table in the indoor section. It wasn’t as appealing as sitting outside, but it was fine. The cheese platter we had as a starter was decent, and the osso bucco was very tasty. However, I received breaded vegetables instead of the grilled ones I ordered, which didn’t really complement the dish. My girlfriend ordered fried chicken with a salad. The salad was nothing special, but the chicken was disappointing, mostly consisting of fried wings and back pieces. This wasn’t what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber—KFC does a better job in this style. dopo aver fissato tramite the fork ho lasciato la seguente recensione: Punto 1. i salumi che lei ci ha servito erano freddi di frigo, inoltre aggiungerei non affettati sul momento, come mi sarei aspettato 2 i formaggi anche essi risultavano freddi e questo impedisce di assaporarne il sapore, anche se di qualità, ma questo lo saprà sicuramente dato il suo mestiere 3 nel tagliere ci siamo ritrovati sopra ad una foglia di insalata un pezzo di pollo fritto tagliato a pezzettini, freddissimo. Capisca bene che non può essere cosa gradita e viene da pensare che vi sia avanzato da qualche secondo e piazzato li, dato che con un antipasto vorrei ben capire cosa centri 4 la”minestra di pane” o qualsiasi cosa fosse perché è mancata la voglia di assaggiarla dato che era anche questa fredda.! 5 vogliamo parlare dei crostini fatti con il Filino, secco, che nemmeno alla festa dell’unità Inoltre Nonostante mi sia lamentato e quindi abbia fatto presente il problema non mi è stato chiesto nemmeno scusa per l’accaduto (non pretendevo mi venisse decurtato dal conto ma un “ci spiace” me lo aspettavo.) Mi spiace perché sono già stato un’altra volta da voi ma avevo ricevuto tutt’altre impressioni, prendendo gli stessi piatti, ed è stato INEVITABILE IL CONFRONTO secondo lei dopo tutto ciò si può essere sereni di spendere 21 euro per un antipasto ??? il proprietario mi ha contattato privatamente con il seguente messaggio: Salve Sono il proprietario della trattoria FRAI Mi dispiace per la sua recensione e non credo che ci meritiamo 2 in cucina Solo se avesse mangiato topi morti ma non ci sembra il caso Inoltre mi dicono che si è lamentato dell antipasto perché era freddo La prossima volta se ci sara ma noi speriamo vivamente di no il tagliere di salumi e formaggi glielo passiamo al microonde Sarebbe stato gradito da parte sua motivare anche il due in cucina In ogni caso è proprio vero che questi strumenti come social internet ecc in mano a persone incapaci sono davvero un pericolo Stia bene

We had a reservation, upon arrival we were told that all places on the terrace were booked. We were than guided to a table in front of the terrace that was not covered for 4 people (as reserved) but 3. In a hurry a fourth cover was done. It took a while until our order was taken, our rose wine was not cooled on our table (although it was at other tables). Food was fine, but description on the menue is not as descriptive as the product (the filled zucchini blossom is filled and fried - filling not mentioned, frying unclear) but the quality is absolutely acceptable. May be it was a crowded day (we have been the first to get in) but service was behind expectations.

We had a reservation, upon arrival we were told that all places on the terrace were booked. We were than guided to a table in front of the terrace that was not covered for 4 people (as reserved) but 3. In a hurry a fourth cover was done. It took a while until our order was taken, our rose wine was not cooled on our table (although it was at other tables). Food was fine, but description on the menue is not as descriptive as the product (the filled zucchini blossom is filled and fried - filling not mentioned, frying unclear) but the quality is absolutely acceptable. May be it was a crowded day (we have been the first to get in) but service was behind expectations.
