Villa Guarienti, was built in a Renaissance style (16th century) by Agostino Brenzoni and designed by Michele Sanmicheli. The restaurant is surrounded by a garden with Mediterranean plants, including cypresses, olive trees, and lemon trees.
The service is impeccable. Knowledgeable without being patronising. Infact, after the most divine tomato - based pacchieri, I was told my approach to devouring the pasta dish was akin to being a “Scarpetta”. This is an Italian technique of using bread to clean a plate or pot of sauce, and it's considered a table manner. The phrase literally translates to "little shoe”.
