A nice place for a break or a night out. Fabio, the owner, is very friendly, also speaks English and has given us excellent advice on local drinks, whether wine or gin. Amazing place for an aperetivo in a beautiful setting amongst historic buildings. Avvertendo un leggero languore durante una passeggiata domenicale per il bellissimo centro storico di Gavoi, con la mia ragazza ci fermiamo a s'Istentu, attirati oltre che dal languore, dall'ottima selezione musicale che, emanandosi dal locale, allieta tutta l'area del sagrato della chiesa di San Gavino. Alla richiesta se ci fosse qualcosa da stuzzicare, il proprietario afferma di non avere un granché ma ci assicura di fare il possibile. Il non-granchè si rivela un emozionante e sorprendente viaggio tra i sapori del centro Sardegna: formaggio di capra di Macomer, fiore sardo, casaxedu, salsiccia all'aceto, guanciale e lardo di Gavoi, prosciutto crudo di Ovodda, accompagnati da pane carasau, ottime olive e una buonissima confettura di marmellata artigianale e annaffiati da un sontuoso Nepente di Oliena.
