The restaurant sits on Lake Bolsena and I mean on the water. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. It is a very beautiful place inside and out. The food is unbelievably fantastic. There were four of us in our group we had a liter or white wine and a liter of redwine. By the way the wine doesn't have sulfates which is much better for you. As soon as the redwine was put on the table I could smell the wonderful fragrance of the vino rosa. We shared mussel bread. We each had a different main dish which all were fantastic. Disappointing service, quality of food. I feel they’re charging a premium given its lovely location at the waters edge. They were evidently understaffed yesterday, Sunday Aug 18th and very busy. Our waiter got so much wrong it became a joke. At every visit we ‘enjoyed’ surprise after surprise as he unveiled food, drinks and desserts we hadn’t asked for. Absolutely beautiful setting with lakefront seating and a picturesque garden view—truly stunning. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and patient as we did our best to communicate with her in limited Italian. She made us feel very welcome and at ease.
