Can't say enough about this restaurant. I've spent now close to two full weeks in Tuscany over two trips, and Risotro Di Lamole was exceptional even among a long list of excellent restaurants in the region.

The food was outstanding, and even though we went for dinner on a cloudy day the view is spectacular, the kind you will never forget. Just note that the prime tables are given based on how early you reserve, so call ahead as early as possible to make your reservation! We were seated outside with a view of the valley but on the row next to the table, and had booked about 5 days prior.

Not only was the food and view/atmosphere excellent, the staff was perfect. Friendly, courteous, just the right amount of attentiveness.

A quick story to illustrate why this place is special - I took my mother here, and she doesn't drink. So when I ordered a bottle of wine (all for me, mmm) our server laughed and said how lucky I was, and wished me luck with the work I had to do for the evening. When he saw that I finished it several hours later, he gave us a free bottle of the house white wine as a 'reward' for my accomplishment :-D. It's that kind of place, where they make a special gesture and go above and beyond even what an excellent restaurant would do.

Book your next meal here with...

Welcome: Casual, authentic, friendly. Food: Exceptional! Decadent, authentic, varied. Perfectly small sized to try many things! Plated beautifully. Menu changes often with the seasons. I've never had the same meal twice. Drinks: Full bar and wine. Incredible selection plus their own. Vibe/ Ambiance: Upscale yet casual + approachable. Special yet relaxed. Sound Level: Low/Medium + manageable. It's a very quiet restaurant but occasionally with large parties that can get rowdy. Very low if any music. Breath taking views. Parking: Easy street parking. Healthy Food Options: Salads, veggies, small plates. Table + Chair Comfort: Great. Especially since I have only had 3 hour + meals here. Cost: Oddly inexpensive/ reasonable for the level of taste, amount of courses, quality, service, + ambience. For two people, with many courses (some shared), wine pairings, dessert between 100-300 euro - depending on meat/wine. Amazing! Overall Service: Casual yet perfectly attentive. Authentically friendly. Exceptional Moments: The food will blow your mind while the views will stop your heart. Expect and plan for a long and memorable meal. Would I Return? I have been three times in the last four years and come overtime I am in the area. YES! This is my personal review. Get more tips from me at Eat....

When you dream of Tuscany you dream of beautiful rolling hills, beautiful food, beautiful wine and beautiful people. It’s an ideal that would seem impossible to fulfill. Yet we found it in a spectacular restaurant high atop the hills of Tuscany. The ride is worth the trip. From the beauty of the Chianti region as it passes below you to the welcome you receive from the friendly staff, this is all you could ever want for a full Tuscan experience. The staff was so friendly and warm. The restaurant was full of local patrons and it was as if you were eating amongst family or friends. The food matched the perfection of the surroundings. The cavatelli with goat ragù special was delectable as was the house specialty red onion and fresh truffle panna cotta appetizer. My son and I shared an outstanding Florentine Bistecca which was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a bottle of wine from the vineyard that was literally down the road. Every dish that we tasted was among the best we’ve had in Italy. No tourists. No standard selections. Just high quality, freshly prepared food. If I had to walk up the mountain to get to it, I would. Thank you for an...

We enjoyed a romantic dinner with an amazing panorama. To make it even better, we had a very beautiful sunset. The food is absolutely amazing. From the starter till the dessert. Starter: Burrata on grilled vegetable. Burrata was very creamy and super delicious! Primo: We enjoyed paccheri stuffed with funghi porcini and truffel..and gnocchi with smoked bacon, beans and pecorino cheese. It was a 10 out of 10! Can't describe it with words, you have to try it! Secondi: Tagliatta di manzo. Sliced very thinly and served on a bouquet of rocket salad. The meat was very tender and it was salted perfectly! Dessert: We enjoyed a Tiramisu wich was outstanding. We tried a lot of Tiramisus at various places, but this finds definetly a spot in our top 5! Ended the evening with a coffee and with offered limoncello. We give the team and the restaurant 10 stars! We will definetly visit this place again. Grazie mille! And at the end a big shoutout to the cook-chef!!

We had a recommendation by a Chef from Tuscany to come here. And yes, it was worth the tricky ride to get to Lamole to enjoy a fantastic experience. We had a Spritz (7€) and a Prosecco (4€) as aperitivo. The starters were Tuna tartar with Wasabi ice cream and super thin fresh fennel salad (16€), then the burrata cheese on top of grilled veggies (12€). The First course was ricotta gnocci with pecorino, green beans and bacon as topping (15€), the Second course was grilled beef on rucola (19€) i forgot to take a picture. I had the chianti classico 2015 (8€) to accompany with the meat, it was great! The dessert was a nice home made tiramisu (7€). Overall a great experience, BUT a little too pricy on some dishes, e.g. the tuna, the burrata and gnocci dish could‘ve been priced nicer for customers. That’s 4 stars! Still an amazing experience. Grazie!!
