Cassa Garba - La terrazza di Giada — Restaurant in Imperia

We tried the place because we stayed at the hotel. The first evening we had booked a table for 19 but we were ignored for 10 minutes while they were still opening the restaurant. The owner even snapped at my wife wheb she pointed out that they had accepted us at 19 and at 19:15 we didn't have a menu card. We had a 3 year old and a baby with us who were both hungry and ready for bed. Also we were here off season so maybe the buffet is normally better but I definitely didn't find it tasty or value for money for...

Siamo stati un sabato sera a cena. Ci sono state prospettate due possibilità: cena a buffet o menù alla carta e abbiamo scelto la seconda. Sul menù era indicata la possibilità di fare un menù degustazione ma quando il cameriere è venuto a prendere l'ordine ci è stato detto inizialmente che non si poteva fare per poi cambiare idea. Alla domanda se facevano anche gli hamburger presenti sul menù disponibile sul sito, un cameriere ha detto che non erano previsti mentre il secondo ci ha portato una integrazione di menù. Ordiniamo una grigliata di pesce e un hamburger e, su suggerimento del cameriere, una bottiglia di bollicine non presente nel menù. La bottiglia arriva non ancora a temperatura e il cameriere ci dice che dobbiamo lasciarla per un po' nel secchiello perché vada a temperatura. La grigliata, venduta a 19 euro, consiste in una fetta di pesce spada, un calamaro, un gamberone e verdure grigliate, il tutto di qualità medio/bassa e troppo cotto (specie lo spada). L'hamburger niente di che. Ordiniamo ancora una creme brulee discreta. La sorpresa arriva col conto: a parte i prezzi che già conoscevamo in quanto presenti sul menù, la bottiglia ci viene fatta pagare 29 euro, prezzo assolutamente non giustificato dalla qualità del prodotto, l'acqua (servita sfusa in una bottiglia di vetro) 2,5 euro e la creme brulee 6 euro. Prezzi totalmente sproporzionati rispetto alla qualità e al livello del servizio (basso a partire dalla bottiglia servita semicalda)....

I was really impressed with this restaurant. We asked for a starter which was very good and then immediately served the main course. We didn’t have to wait too long. The bread was fresh and homemade and especially really tasty. There were also different types that we could eat. The pizza was obviously amazing and we got the one with salami which was really good. An Italian classic. Lastly, the price was good for the food...
