Mokambo Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Istrana

Excellent! Superb and magnificent! Brilliant, marvellous and incredibly amazing. Everything - food, service and ambience - just perfect. And I explain you why in details with arguments. Our international group of seven people “stuck” in a horrible hotel on the road outside Istrana. At the beginning we just were happy to find a restaurant nearby. But we enjoyed the Mocambo so much, that even didn’t change the hotel immediately and stayed for a couple of weeks just because of the restaurant. It became our temporary home - a place to eat, to drink and to enjoy with pleasure and feeling of warm welcome. I was coming every day: in the morning for coffee and in the evening for food. Always friendly staff ready to help whatever you need. And I needed a lot. First, I am very allergic, so it’s always very difficult to get some correct food when I’m travelling. And I was very happy that I had no any problems at the restaurant to get what I was asking for. Even it was no need to repeat all the “litany” next time. They could remember everything. Second. Because of the allergies, I could try only meat. And it was amazing! They have a great choice of different beef to be grilled and you can see it at the entrance. We tried a lot of them, and the quality was just surprisingly good - honestly we didn’t expect to find such a choice and such a quality somewhere outside a big city and even outside a town. The rest of my companions tried other dishes and I heard only compliments about seafood or pizza. Ok, we are not Italians, so we don’t know the pizza as perfectly as natives. But my companions are from Switzerland, they are travelling a lot because of the job, so they have a really huge experience to compare. Besides, my husband is French and as an excellent cook himself he always has a bit higher requirements for catering, so I trust his opinion about the food with my closed eyes. I heard no complaints about anything and the prove of it - completely empty plates! Just in case - if you enjoyed your food, but just couldn’t finish your huge meal (for example, an amazing Fiorentina), just ask for a doggy bag to take away. Third. The restaurant is really surprisingly big in places and absolutely crowded during weekends. Still it’s a family business with a few workers to help. Every person in the staff is honestly friendly and helpful, no any doubt that they are working with their hearts. And even if sometimes you have to wait or to ask twice, it is not because they are working dismissively, for sure! It’s just because it’s not so easy to manage with such a crowd, especially if you’re doing it with pleasure and not because of a whip. So here is my response to those few unhappy people who are searching for something to complain about just to write a bad review after one visit: Just don’t go there - the restaurant is doing well, they even don’t need any good reviews to be attractive and popular. They already are. And for sure not because of the reviews, but because they are really amazingly good. So please, leave more free places for positive people to enjoy there, as sometimes it’s really crowded there and can be difficult to get a table during the weekend. All the best for the guys. I already miss the place and dreaming to come back to Italy by car just to have a possibility to visit Mocambo. I hope, next time I will get a table without booking...

Scoperto grazie ad una coppia di amici e non vedo l'ora di tornarci ...personale gentilissimo voci e cibo ottimo...devo modificare la recensione...per la seconda volta ..ripeto seconda volta ordinata grigliata max più un piatto di costicine...e per ben due volte è stata portata una sola portata le costicine 16.50 dentro la grigliata...e la grigliata era più piccola in quantità del solito..non si fa così assolutamente..se ordino un piatto non si frega il cliente in questo modo ...considerando che c'ero stato la sera prima...e la quantità di grigliata era molto più abbondante...ribadisco ...non si fregano i clienti in questo modo...molto deluso 😞 ringrazio per la risposta è concordo con Lei che avrei dovuto parlarne alla cassa...ma mi permetto di ricordarle che non solo mancava la polenta...ma la sera prima avevo preso la stessa cosa e la quantità era di gran lunga superiore a quella di ieri sera considerando che prendendo un piatto in più mi sono solo ritrovato con 16.50 euro in più da pagare.ma con molta meno carne nella portata e molta meno verdura...certo si può sbagliare...ma non a questi livelli ...nel conto però questi errori a vostro sfavore non succedono vero? A prescindere dalle Vostre spiegazioni sulla grandezza delle costine...la notevole..ribadisco la notevole differenza della portata non la riesco a...

Sono andata con il mio fidanzato e amici ,all’accoglienza la proprietaria si dimostrava infastidita dalla nostra presenza e ha confermato ciò appena ha sentito il PROFUMO del mio fidanzato e si è espressa con tali parole “non ti mettere più questo profumo che mi creano crisi polmonari “ dopo pochi minuti manda un dipendente per farci spostare di tavolo per colpa del “profumo “ inizia a tossire dal bancone ,il mio fidanzato esce dal nervosismo per non creare disagio e la stessa lo invita ad uscire . Il tutto si è svolto davanti all’intera sala che stava cenando incredula del trattamento . All’arrivo del cameriere ,mortificato dall’accaduto ,decidiamo increduli di andarcene all’istante . Partiamo dal presupposto che possiamo capire qualsiasi tipo di problema di salute ,ma esprimere un disprezzo tale di fronte a persone a lei sconosciute per un “PROFUMO “ è da coraggiosi, un vero professionista che sa di avere un problema tale se ne va nel retro e attende l’uscita dei clienti anche perché credo che di persone con il “PROFUMO ce ne sono a milioni . Un consiglio che vi do se dovete andare in questo ristorante .NON METTETEVI...
