Le Luci del lago — Restaurant in Laglio

I had dinner here every single night and while staying during my honeymoon in Lake Como in August during peak tourist season.

This restaurant is located inside the hotel Relais Villa Vitoria and is available for guests but is also open to the public.

We met Chef Alessandro during our stay and he was extremely curtious, attentive and lovely to talk to! I highly recommend visiting his restaurant. He clearly cares about his guests and tries his best to make sure they have a great meal.

The service was amazing, waiters were very attentive and it was easy to get a reservation in person. The restaurant was never too busy during weekdays and it was easy to get a reservation or walk-in table during the busiest time of year. The view and ambiance of this restaurant is amazing - every single table has the perfect view of Lake Como. The food was good but not amazing, portion sizes are good (medium sized, with multiple courses expected) but the quality and flavor wasn’t exceptional or something I would crave or really wish to have again. Worst place I've eaten at in the entire Lake Como area. Chaotic service, rude staff, no attention to detail (dirty decanter, dirty bread plates), no bread offered, no dessert offered. And the food was bad and reheated.

Edited: I believe that any individual will be intelligent enough to avoid a restaurant where the dirty decanter and plates are justified and the blame is placed on the customer. With all the wonderful restaurants around Lake Como, I'm confident that no one will make my mistake of going to this restaurant. This is one more restaurant to confirm that nice view and good food can not be combined. The ambient was really cozy while the restaurant is located right in front of the Como lake. The dishes were a repetition of the same ingredients like the berry sauce or the grilled potatoes. We were not expecting so poor gastronomic level in such a place and with these prices. Don’t let the OK presentation fool you, the taste is way below average. Probably the worst place we visited in Italy. Do not recommend.
