La Cucina dei Pignuin — Restaurant in Laigueglia

Throughout our 2 weeks' vacation in Laigueglia we had dinner at La Cucina dei Pignuin 2 times. It's a decent Italian fish and seafood restaurant. The pasta is very good. The antipasto of mixed fish was excellent. - However, we found the service a bit reserved. Especially the second time, a Saturday evening, we sat for 45 minutes without being asked about dessert or coffee / digestivo. Guests, who came later than us, got served before us. We decided to have dessert and coffee elsewhere. So, though food was good, we decided to avoid this restaurant for the rest of our vacation days. Service should work during the week, but on a weekend they don't seem to be able to cope with the tables to be properly served. A shame, because...

My hotel recommended Pignuin for dinner, and I couldn't be happier! I might go back for more, because, as their menu was focused on seafood (with other options), it all looked so good! I had the Cozze Alla Pignuin & Trofie Alla Genovese.... 💯 For vino, I asked for whatever they recommended rosso/dry (asciutto) and loved the prosecco and rosso glasses I had!

While I did not order dessert, every one was ordered while I was in the restaurant and all looked amazing, esp the Panna Cotta.

Great, authentic spot to try for dinner out! Might be back on this same trip... A great relationship with Albergo Villa...

Ci sono stato per 2 giorni consecutivi, venerdi sera appena arrivato a Laigueglia me lo consiglia la proprietaria del B.&. B. dice che sono convenzionati, entriamo in 4 io mia moglie e i 2 bimbi. Accoglienza ligure non troppo esagerata nella cortesia, ci sediamo a un tavolo con tovaglie di carta bianca su una plastificate verde, stona con le sedie moderne che stonano con l'ambiente rustico e molto belli del locale, se non fosse per u tavoli troppi moderni sarebbe davvero una perla. Le foto appese ai muri che raffigurano la vita di mare sono davvero belle e ti buttano subito nell'atmosfera del paesino fi mare.. sarà complice proprio questa atmosfera che decidiamo di provare prodotti tipici... pesce e pesto. Inizio con insalata di polpo e patate discreta nulla di più, proseguo con le trofie al pesto alla ligure, buone mi sono davvero piaciute le finisco nonostante le porzioni molto abbondanti. Proseguo con una grigliata.. Non ci siamo pesce non freschissimo il proprietario in sala con il passare della serata si rivela gentile e premuroso ( dalle premesse non me lo aspettavo) ci regala vino un buon traminer profumato e giovane, e bevande. Nonostante l'apprezzabile sforzo il costo si rivela un po' alto.. per comodità torniamo anche il giorno dopo a pranzo niente antipasto, mi rifaccio le trofie che mi sono davvero piaciute, seguo l'onda del locale e prendiamo come pesce le alici e un orata. Ottime e fresche! Si sono rifatti della sera prima.. vino e bevande offerte e i 100 euro questa volta li ho spesi con più soddisfazione. Nota chiedete il pescato del giorno perché non lo trovate...
