L'Officina del Gusto — Restaurant in Lastra a Signa

Let’s start off with the walk into the restaurant... A male server greeted us in Italian with a huge smile... Being my first time in a different country smiled back and said hello excitedly ... As soon as I said that he looked at me and my girlfriend, went straight faced shook his head in I guess disgust and walked away...No worries we waited and looked through the restaurant from the front door and saw another table sat, the only table actually occupied in the place. The same male server went and flagged another server down. Around the corner comes the other server apparently she spoke English... didnt say a word or any sort of greeting, glanced at my girlfriend and I and said sorry we are booked you can go to another restaurant... she then walked away... the entrire restaurant was empty... I’m not a rocket scientist but I’m sure my money spends better than an empty table. While I know Americans aren’t always greeted with a smile or hospitality, I come from a service back ground and was really looking forward to this experience and as with our other dining experiences tip above the service fee... no sweat we found somewhere else that was busier and definitely had great food... wouldn’t recommend this place...

I don't know where to start. I'll start with the basics, my husband's glass was dirty & mine was chipped which is not what you expect in a expensive restaurant. I would let that slip if it wasn't for the hour wait for our cold starters which out of 4 fish dishes 1 was very greasy and 2 were over cooked. Then we waited another hour for our pizzas, the dough was missing salt, my seafood toppings once again were overcooked this time unlike the starter that at least had some flavor I scraped the rubber like toppings off. My husband got a pizza with sausage and friarielli (a type of spinach) which turned out not to be the real deal! Even though by this stage it was late (11pm) we decided to have a desert anyway thinking that it's already made so we wouldn't have to wait, well we we mistaken 45 minutes for some cheese cake...oh and then an extra 5minutes for a spoon to eat it with! Yes the restaurant was busy but if you can't cater for so many people then take...

这是我体验的海鲜餐厅中最差的一个！ 首先，我们是三个人，只让我们用了一张小桌子，导致我们最后喝的红酒洒在身上，原因就是桌子太小； 其次，菜品的味道一般般，根本感受不到海鲜本身新鲜的感觉 第三，等时间太长太长了，吃完第一餐，到第二道Grande Griglia，我们足足等了将近快一个小时，最后我们已经催的工作人员不行了，马上要起身走的时候，他们才把第二餐缓缓的上来，我们的原因是他们的厨房没有立刻开启forno 第四，工作人员的服务态度真的很一般，照顾的一点都不到周到 最后总结： 今天将是我们来到这里的最后一次，希望他们的餐厅既要提升菜品、也要提升服务质量！ 所以，差评！👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 如果你想吃到不正宗的海鲜、如果你想等一道菜至少一个小时，你来这里体验！😂😂😂 预祝这个餐厅早日关门大吉！

英语： This is the worst seafood restaurant I've ever experienced! First of all, there were three of us, but we were only allowed to use a small table. As a result, the red wine we were drinking spilled on us because the table was too small. Secondly, the taste of the dishes was just so-so. I couldn't feel the freshness of the seafood at all. Thirdly, the waiting time was extremely long. After we finished the first course, we waited for nearly an hour for the second course, the Grande Griglia. We had already urged the staff countless times, and we were about to get up and leave when they finally served the second course slowly. The reason was that their kitchen didn't turn on the oven immediately. Fourthly, the service attitude of the staff was really mediocre. They didn't take good care of us at all. Finally, to sum up: Today will be our last time coming here. I hope their restaurant can improve both the quality of the dishes and the service! 意大利语： Questa è il peggior ristorante di pesce che abbia mai provato! Innanzitutto, eravamo in tre, ma ci hanno permesso di usare solo un tavolo piccolo. Di conseguenza, il vino rosso che stavamo bevendo ci è sfiorato addosso perché il tavolo era troppo piccolo. In secondo luogo, il sapore dei piatti era solo mediocre. Non ho sentito la freschezza del pesce affatto. In terzo luogo, il tempo di attesa è stato estremamente lungo. Dopo aver finito il primo piatto, abbiamo aspettato quasi un'ora per il secondo piatto, la Grande Griglia. Avevamo già insistito tantissime volte con il personale, e stavamo per alzare e andare quando hanno finalmente servito lentamente il secondo piatto. Il motivo è stato che la loro cucina non ha acceso immediatamente il forno. In quarto luogo, l'atteggiamento del personale è stato davvero mediocre. Non si sono presi affatto cura di noi. Infine, per riassumere: Oggi sarà l'ultima volta che veniamo qui. Spero che il loro ristorante possa migliorare sia la qualità dei piatti che il servizio!
