Spontaneous pit stop from Amalfi Coast to Venice Cross-Country road trip, because why not?! Free parking after 1930pm across the road. Pleasantly greeted by stunning coastal views amongst sunset, gorgeous decor & welcoming entrance, BUT…. Sadly let itself down with incredibly rude & arrogant service! Maddelena tried her best, towards the end of our dining experience as we had to make it known during our visit of how unsatisfied we were due to the service to begin with! I could have caught a flight to somewhere in Europe to get my fries as mine took over 1 hour to come!! The “Prawn & Prasley” Risotto was very rich & Prawnless! Zero Prawns to be found in the Risotto, maybe they jumped in Tyrrehenian Sea & swam away from this joint! Side Note a lot of spelling mistakes on the menu… just saying. Overall if you can get yourself a seat here for a glass of wine to soak up the sunset, please do but please do not have high hopes for great service or food, bring a packed lunch!! Purtroppo non ci siamo: le aspettative erano altissime ma purtroppo sono rimasto deluso dall'esperienza. La location si presenta bene e anche l'accoglienza all'ingresso sono degne del ristorante e delle aspettative che mi ero fatto. Purtroppo però, nel corso della serata ti rendi conto che la location è molto bella ma non funzionale. La sala è insonorizzata malissimo, si fa fatica a scambiare due chiacchiere con i propri commensali ed è impossibile capire i piatti che i camerieri ti portano al tavolo e ti illustrano. Non c'è una musica d'ambiente di sottofondo (non si sentirebbe nemmeno), ma si sentivano i bassi di una qualche musica da discoteca provenienti dalla sala accanto o dall'ultimo piano. A metà serata si è spenta prima la glacette che era posizionata accanto al tavolo (capita) e poi si sono spente le candeline sul nostro tavolo, mentre alcune nei tavoli accanto, che erano già accese quando siamo arrivati, sono rimaste accese (non le accendete quando arriva il cliente?). Il menù è degno delle aspettative (come anche i prezzi). Proposte interessanti e anche ben eseguite (abbiamo scelto la degustazione Oltremare). Purtroppo la carta dei vini non è proprio all'altezza del menu. Un ristorante di medio livello dispone di una carta dei vini più interessante: pochi vini e anche molto inflazionati (ottimi, ma troppo comuni). Il menù degustazione non prevede un percorso di vini in abbinamento!!! Abbiamo chiesto al metre e fortunatamente ci ha detto che avrebbe provveduto lui a costruirci un percorso: da rivedere assolutamente. Le quantità erano completamente sbagliate: calici di bollicine troppo pieni e altri di vino bianco che non si riusciva nemmeno a percepirne il sapore per quanto poco fosse. In un paio di occasioni il vino è arrivato dopo i piatti. Insomma, se il menù potrebbe ambire ad un locale (quasi) stellato, ci sono ancora molte cose da sistemare prima di arrivarci (e soprattutto prima di chiedere certe cifre). During our stay at the hotel, we visited the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the 6 course tasting menu. The food was very creative, adventurous, and of course delicious. The extra touches from the chef, in the form of an amuse bouche, palette cleanser and dessert all added to the experience. A 6 course menu quickly felt like close to 10.
