Burro & Anciue — Restaurant in Lerici

Decent place. We ordered the seafood taster antipasti, cod tagliatelle and tuna dish between 2 people. The food was hit and miss. Some items were quiet tasty (pickled tuna thing in the antipasti) but other items like the anciue in carrozza and the couscous were too dry. The tagliatelle was quite tasty and fishy (A+) but the flavours of the tuna dish did not hit right for me. There was technically nothing wrong with it, it just didn't work for me and it might for someone else. It was herb crusted and fried with chocolate flakes. The frying of the herbs made them quite bitter and chocolate was a strange sweetness. There were also massive salt crystals on it and once you ate those, all you could taste was "salty". I visited here for lunch just before Christmas 2023, I told the waiter I would write a review and it stayed on my mind that I hadn't done it, so here it is! The staff were so kind and accommodating, my wife spoke with the waiter about her dietary needs a with the chef they created a wonderful lunch for us which was a twist on what was on the menu. Great location on the main piazza in Lerici. We had some nice appetizers: a toast with butter and anchovies and stuffed mussels. We selected 3 different pastas for our main course. We had excellent “al dente” Spagetti but too much salt for our taste…although I had spaghetti with anchovies. The other two spaghetti dishes definitely had more salt than needed.
