Meating Brasserie — Restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro

We did not have reservations, no tables availible but they squeezed us in after few minutes wait at the bar. The outside looks lovely, the inside also but where we sat inside was more like a diner or fast food place. We had water to drink but had to ask for glasses. We ordered chicken curry, steak fille and cheese fries as a side. After very few minutes the fries arrives at our table. 15 minutes later the waiter goes to next table with steak and chicken, there the chicken is sent back as it was not correct but steak stayed and soon the other plate arrived at the other table (which was actually seated many minutes after us) we waited longer and finally got the steak, wrongly cooked and cold chicken that had been sitting in the kitchen. The waiter had new bucket of fries but since we already had fries, 25 minutes earlier, he said they were for someone else and took them back since we started on the others while waiting. We complained to the other waiter who gave us the seats, he went into the kitchen and brought fries, the same ones the other took back. When they cleared the table, the asked how it was, we told them the food was cold, the waiter was not surprised and could not care less.

Conclusion, food could be ok if served hot and cooked to request. There is something wrong with the service and staff behaviour is poor, probably because they don't care and they are not seeing me again, which is totally true, will...

First, I want to say that the following review is not valid for the kitchen/food, because we did not eat there, although we wanted to have dinner in this restaurant. The reason for the 1 star review is the unfriendly guy (don't know if it was the owner or a waiter or whatever) which told us that there is no reservation. We definitely had a reservation for that evening and waited to be seated. The guy told us that there is no reservation on my name (but I had a phone call with a really friendly woman 2 or 3 days before in which she confirmed my reservation AND I also could see my name and the number of persons and time in the reservation book at the entrance). When I told him that I saw my name, he just said: that is not for you, that is another person with the same name and that we could not eat there. As an entrepreneur, you shouldn't treat potential...

The food was very delicious. The steak was medium, like ordered, which is not granted in Lignano! My octopus burger was something new, I really enjoyed it. The waiter was super nice and the ambience is very cozy. We're considering coming back for another round during our vacation. It seems like locals are visiting this restaurant as well, which is always...
