Nice little restaurant with good service and ambience. Ordered ricotta and spinach ravioloni and Carbonara with artichokes. The ravioloni were very nice, however the Carbonara was a joke. I specifically asked the waiter if the pasta was prepared with the classic recipe with just added artichoke and he confirmed.
What was delivered was pasta with artichoke and some soft undercooked guanciale. There was no sign of pecorino Romano, egg or black pepper. There was no creaminess and the taste was nothing like a carbonara.
After a few bites I complained and the pasta was returned to the kitchen, where they fixed it instead of throwing it away and making another one (last picture). When you are charging 16-20eur for pasta, if it fails you make another one, you don't return it to the frying pan...
Read moreAfter almost a week in Sicily, Ristorante Boccaperta SC. has truly been the standout dining experience of our trip. From the outside, it may look unassuming, but once inside, it reveals itself as an absolute gem.

We paired our meal with a wine from the Etna region, which was crisp, refreshing, and perfectly matched to the dishes, which was local vegetables and pasta dishes. Healthy, not overly decadent. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, making the evening not just a meal but a wonderful memory. If you’re in search of authentic Sicilian cooking at its best, this place is...
Read moreWe were invited to Boccaperta by my friend Fabio, an amazing winemaker. We enter the restaurant and we met Saro the owner - the best host I've ever seen- elegant, charming, discrete. He suggested us a starter, composed by fried cheeses, artchockes. My friends got some primi, tagliatelle fresh pasta with truffle and pacchero pasta carbonara with wild asparagus. I got the lamb. All the dishes were amazing, perfectly cooked. Saro and his wife, the chef, have the most important ingredient, something you cant buy at the local market: they have passion and love for this job, they care about food and people. Thanks again for hosting us yesterday. See you soon for another amazing lunch.
Oh, and the wine list is incredible. Go discover it!! I...
