Trattoria LinguaGrossa — Restaurant in Linguaglossa

I don’t doubt that this place is great, if you get to eat there. It got recommended by my host while I was staying in Linguaglossa. However I wasn’t able to check it with my own eyes since the place didn’t allow me to sit down and try out their food. The first thing that they asked me was if I was alone, to which I said yes. Then the waitress went inside and another colleague of hers told me that I could not sit down, that I needed to wait for some people outside to finish their meals. And that it was gonna take an hour. To which I replied that it was going to be 22:40 in an hour and that the place closed at 23:00, to which they replied that the kitchen actually closed at 22:30. So I said that basically I wasn’t going to be able to eat. And they said yes. And yes, the conversation went exactly as I am telling you. At this point you might be wondering why I could not sit down and eat, and let me tell, it wasn’t a problem of space since there was plenty of space inside. They did not provide an explanation after I tried numerous times to get specifics . Frankly I don’t care anymore, and the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, and I think they did not want somebody eating alone in the middle of that classy and family place, which is fine by me since I don’t intend to come back. Disappointed.

Edit: I have to say it’s the next day and I am feeling bad about this experience. I hope this restaurant will think twice about rejecting customers because it makes you question yourself, if you were just being played and thrown out because of your nationality or other spiteful reasons.
