Kasita — Restaurant in Livorno

This place is a hidden gem. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was just amazing. We had to take a ferry to Olbia at 22:00 and we looked for a place to eat before boarding at 20:00, and even we didn’t have a reservation the staff kindly accepted us and explained that our table was reserved but if we ate a pizza fast would be ok.

Very nice surprise! Cozy and delightful restaurant with a wide offer of good dishes, pizza among all that I really suggest (dough and ingredients flavours are perfect). Do not miss the mixed starter (any of them is fine) and meat: I had a "Burghesa", their typical double burger (with cheese and w/o bread) dressed in a special way: a "must-to-try"! Last but not least, the top kindness, availability and patience of the personnel! They all do deserve a good tip! Thanks and see...

Modern eingerichtetes, sauberes Lokal direkt auf dem Weg zum Hafen, daher ideal, um nochmal etwas zu essen. Innen große Halle mit hoher Decke, draußen auf der Terrasse viel Platz und natürlich auch entsprechend laut durch den Verkehr des Hafens trotzdem gemütlich. Preislich ist es fair. Die Gäste waren an diesem Abend meist Gruppen jüngerer Leute und es herrschte viel Betrieb. Da unser bevorzugtes Lokal ein paar Straßen weiter um 23:00 Uhr schon geschlossen hatte, das Speisenangebot interessant aussah und wir viel Hunger hatten, wollten wir dieses Lokal ausprobieren.

Wir wurden freundlich bedient und bekamen kurz darauf Essen und Getränke. Leider gab es keinen offenen Wein. Die Pizza war enttäuschend und die bisher schlechteste Pizza, die ich je in Italien gegessen habe. Der Teig hatte eine weiche Konsistenz mit hohem Rand, diese Art ist mir bekannt und Geschmackssache, jedoch der Belag, die Salami war enorm salzig und schmeckte nicht besonders hochwertig. Die Unterseite war teilweise so stark verbrannt, dass man sie kaum essen konnte. Die Gruppe am Nebentisch hatte mehrere reichlich belegte Teller bestellt und auch mindestens eine Pizza und die Teller wurden dreiviertel voll wieder abserviert, warum wohl? Da es spät war, wollten wir keine großen Umstände haben, darum haben wir es trotzdem soweit es ging, gegessen. Vielleicht hatten wir Pech, aber so war...
