“Pearl of the Sea” the story of a lunch!

This is what I felt, as soon as I looked at the water front, of this stunning yet simple place. I’ve been far from reviewing places coz, I stopped being amazed.

There it is my surprise. Authentic, gorgeous, relaxing and unique. This place, got them all.

Service: Friendly welcome, that made me feel like home, even though, yet outside. Once I was inside, they let me browsing around, and then two kind girls escorted me to my table. Booked for two, they choose the best spot. Got an authentic Italian coffe, and then, waiting for my guest, I enjoyed the view. I “slept” a flower on the table, like a cherry on top of a cake. Then, here she comes! Gorgeous on her red dress, fascinating like sunrise on the water. This was my guest.

We order the Antipasto, with couple of cold bubbles. Peppe! The “capo sala”, maître etc etc got my attention, with one of the best introduction to the meal I ever heard. Every single details explained; his knowledge, for his age, surprised me!

The food:

I don’t have much to say, because you have to taste yourself and, my words can get you, where I went! A rhythm of emotions from the first bite. Texture, flavours, joy and fantasy. Contrast, sweet and sour, fruit and veggie, fish and apple making love together, giving me, the best culinary orgasm! That crudo antipasto, should be “Adult Only”! La pasta! Culture and history, of a country, of south side happiness. Pure joy and emotions. Smooth and soft cream, coating a nice “al dente” black ink pasta, home made, of course. Because when you use your hands, things got better, things got loved, and, this is why I’m writing this. I’m in love with that place.

Sono stato alla Capannina due volte nel giro di una sola settimana di cui una volta proprio quest’oggi a pranzo e non posso che esprimere il mio entusiasmo più sincero. Dopo aver provato numerosi ristoranti di pesce sia nella zona che in alcune delle località più rinomate d’Italia, posso dire senza esitazione che qui il pesce lo sanno cucinare davvero. Ogni piatto è un viaggio nei sapori del mare: fresco, autentico, perfettamente equilibrato. Ma ciò che rende l’esperienza ancora più speciale è l’attenzione e la cura che tutto lo staff mette nel servizio. Sin dal primo momento ci si sente accolti e coccolati, con una dedizione rara a far sì che ogni dettaglio sia impeccabile. Non si tratta solo di mangiare bene: è un’esperienza completa, fatta di cortesia, passione, professionalità e amore per ciò che si fa. Non sono solito lasciare recensioni, né mi piace esprimere giudizi online, ma in questo caso sento il dovere di farlo. Restare in silenzio significherebbe non rendere giustizia a chi, con impegno e passione, porta avanti un luogo così speciale. Un plauso particolare va anche a chi lavora dietro le quinte, in cucina, perché ogni piatto è una piccola perla.Se cercate un posto dove vivere il mare con il palato e sentirvi davvero seguiti e apprezzati come clienti, La Capannina è semplicemente imperdibile.
