Ristorante Cactus — Restaurant in Locri

In Locri Italy for one night and got a recommendation from our hotelier for good food within walking distance. We split (uno per due) a primi, secondi, contorno and dolci. The primi was gnocchi with cheese sauce and pesto and just outstanding. The secondi was the beef steak and fried potatoes - the best beef since Termoli. Two excellent steaks in one week in southern Italy. For dessert fresh strawberries so good. The service was exceptional; all were so friendly and helpful. If we were to stay another night or two in Locri we would eat there...

Oggi mi sono fermato attirato dall'eleganza dell'arredamento e dalla sensazione di qualità. Purtroppo ho avuto un'esperienza allucinante, in quanto, al di là del menù e del locale, sono stato letteralmente molestato da un avventore del locale che per mia sfortuna sedeva accanto a me che ripetutamente si è avvicinato in barba ai decreti di distanziamento e, prima mi ha chiesto se ero uno "sbirro", poi, mi ha offerto del vino asserendo di pensare che fossi una brava persona, poi mi ha riferito di essere stato in galera, poi mi ha chiesto aiuto, il tutto a qualche centimetro dal mio viso. Purtroppo, per educazione ho aspettato ciò che avevo ordinato e appena possibile me ne sono andato. Avevo solamente bisogno di pranzare in pace in un buon locale e me ne sono andato disgustato dal comportamento di un loro cliente. Mai avuta un'esperienza simile in un locale...... grazie Locri...
