We went there on 02.09 (confirmed reservation) and because of the good experience, today the second time on 04.9. (spontanious table, no reservation).
On the first visit, the food and service was perfect. (Mozzarella as Starter and Pizza & Pasta as Main Course) Today was a nightmare in case of service and main courses. The only exceptions were the drinks and the mozzarella as starter. The gnocchi of my partner were so mushy that they could easily count as mashed potatoes. Now the hard part: I wanted to try something new. And asked the service about the Pasta with onion stew and Tuna + Tartare. He explained the dish and suggested that its a hearty meal. After he was pointing on the menue, i replied, that i want to try it. The service came with the wrong food for me. They served me monkfish with pasta and garlic sauce. After i talked to the service, they wanted to check the order. 3 minutes later, a women (most likely service chef) came to us and started to talk to us nervously and angry. She said that the dish i wanted, is not good for me because it has too many onions and that it would not suit me. Its better for me to take this dish (which i never ordered) How even does she know which food or dish suits me as a person or how my taste is?? This took place around 5-10 minutes after the food was served. So the dish of my partner would be could as my new one would arrive. Finally i kept the wrong served dish because of the drama she had made… Wrong choice. It wasnt my taste at all and the pasta was nearly cooked. We had to pay at the counter, where the potential owners, which could not speak englisg, collected the money. We paid and couldnt even try to speak up about the happenings. Sadly but true. This place has a nice enviroment. But unlucky the service is enormously arrogant. The Starters and Pizza are very good. The other is depending on timing and staff...

During our family vacation in Sardinia this July, we had the pleasure of dining at Il Farè Restaurant, and it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time. Traveling from Switzerland with our two young daughters, we were delighted to find a place that catered to both our culinary tastes and our children's enjoyment.
From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere was evident. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel at home. Our daughters were thrilled when the chef personally came to our table and surprised them with two colorful balloons—an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that truly made their day.
The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, showcasing the rich flavors of Sardinia. We were particularly impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity in the presentation. Each dish was a delightful blend of traditional and modern cuisine, perfectly capturing the essence of the region.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy yet elegant, making it an ideal spot for a family meal. We could see that the team at Il Farè takes great pride in their work, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.
In summary, Il Farè is not just a restaurant—it's a place where you can enjoy a beautiful meal, feel truly welcomed, and create lasting memories with your loved ones. If you're visiting Sardinia, we highly recommend adding this gem to...
Read moreI used to be a great fan of Il Faré, and my experiences there over the past years had always been very positive.
Unfortunately, my last two visits (one last year and one just this past Monday) left me surprisingly disappointed.
The service quality has been quite poor on both occasions: waiters were not attentive or proactive, and the waiting times at the table were far longer than you’d expect from a pizzeria — around 45 minutes each time from the moment we got the seat to the moment the pizza arrived.
Even more unexpectedly, the pizza itself has declined in quality. The dough was heavier and less digestible than in the past, and the overall presentation felt no better than average.
I will likely look elsewhere for a truly good modern Neapolitan pizza. Still, I would encourage the owners of Il Faré to consider investing in more experienced staff — both in the kitchen and in the dining room — as it’s a real pity to see the quality of this little gem decline so noticeably in the last couple of years.
For context, below is my original enthusiastic review from 2021:
"One of the best neapolitan style pizza I have ever had in my life.
Also great service and lovely people working there.
Absolutely a must to go if you are...
