I highly recommend this place to everyone who passes through Porto San Paolo even for a couple of hours. It is close to the arst bus station and the last one that passes to go to Olbia is around 19:40, so it’s doable to eat at “La Cantina” and then go to Olbia by bus.
This enoteca was the biggest surprise in this port and I confess I did not want to sit down and eat here at first, because I needed a warm cooked dinner. I was mesmerised by the beautiful setting outside and I decided to eat here. It was the best choice ever! The personal is very friendly and careful to your needs, they explain everything they serve, and they have a variety of cheeses, bread, and wines. The taste of their tagliatte is unbelievable. The size of the plate seems small at first, but there are a lot of cheeses, vegetables, and fruits on the plate for 2 people. For 2, I suggest trying size S or M. The prices are very, very good, too, and you find delicious wine at very honest and friendly prices!
It was the best possible way to end up a day trip to Tavolara island. Even if you are not a fan of cheeses, I still recommend this place, because the taste, the texture, and the combinations they serve are special and there are a lot of chances to surprise you. Fuori dalla zona più turistica, i proprietari hanno ricreato un piccolo e accogliente luogo dove provare i prodotti tipici della zona o della Sardegna. Ho lasciato fare alla ragazza che mi ha servito per il vino ed è stato super buono! Vitigno sardo non il classico vermentino anche la zona e’ la patria del vermentino Docg. Ho preso anche un tagliere piccolo e una porzione di ricotta con bottarga di tonno. Va beh.. che ve lo dico a fare?! Un sapore pazzesco!
Oltre al locale esterno c’è la parte di enoteca e la bottega dove poter comprare prodotti di gastronomia.
