ALBAIA Beach Bar Lounge — Restaurant in Magione

The place itself looked like a trendy beach bar with a nice atmosphere but when arriving it was quickly doubted. After sitting down we noticed that the DJ was very loud and had a strange selection of music (which is subjective) to the point of it being bad enough to be funny. Afterward we ordered some cocktails for a very good price, but this turned out to be the only redeeming factor. After our food arrived I received a pan of spaghetti alla carbonara which I had to share with my friend and plate myself. When tasting we turned our noses up for not only the carbonara but all the dishes because it was all over seasoned or not getting seasoned at all to the point that the salmon was very generous with the salt and the carbonara being unbearable with its use of pepper while the burger was dry and bland. The carbonara was quite gross with all the pepper, the bacon being nearly tasteless and having to make our own portions really showed a lack of service. We quickly left unsatisfied after we got tired of laughing at the music and the taste of the food. I also want to add that the music they play is heard till late in the night from very far away which is quite a disturbance to the people...

Because it was ferragosto and we didn't want to eat in a crowded restaurant, we decided to have a quick lunch at what seems a trendy and renovated beach bar on instagram. There was some free space at a simple lounge set on the lake side, lucky us, so I tried to order food at the bar, but surprise , not possibile. I answered we don't have to be served, I will take the food from here, no not possibile. Yes you can eat at the table, but they were all reservated, so also not possible. (although most of the tables were still empty at that time)

I was surprised by the inflexibility of this bar, missed change according to me. Also I expected more luxury, so compliments for the insta promotion, but in real it's...

Sunset is beautiful from here, the place is nothing else more than a few tables on a lawn close to the lake shore, few decor, very minimal. Food is pretty mediocre, some of the cocktails are pretty good, most of them are average. The only real problem for me was the attitude of people working there, they act like they are managing a top bar in a rooftop in London or NYC and this attitude per se is enough to kill the whole vibe that this place has. Again, the best part is the landscape and the sunset and those 2 elements are on mother nature and not on owners!! If you are driving by it is worth a stop, I won't drive there...
