Il Pomodoro — Restaurant in Magliano Alfieri

Was visiting friends and they took us out to eat here. Safe to say it's a local favorite. They have two side to the restaurant, a casual and a formal side. The best of both worlds. Either side is great, the staff was very helpful in understanding the menu and the food was great. I ordered pizza of course and dessert. I cant white remember what it was called but it was like a mint ice cream with chocolate sauce. The perfect dessert for me. Theres a photo of it below.

Partiamo dalle cose positive. La pizza non è la classica napoletana, ma è davvero molto sottile, digeribile e gustosa e con ingredienti freschi. Personalmente visti i prezzi le farei più farcite, ma rimane il mio punto di vista. Il personale è solerte e gentile. Passiamo ora alle cose negative. La più grave è un'imprecisione sui prezzi, una birra in bottiglie Weiss Ludwig che sul menù era indicata a 5,50 euro sulle scontrino è stata fatta pagare 6,00. Magari è stata una disattenzione ma non deve comunque capitare, denota trascuratezza verso i clienti. I prezzi in generale sono superiori alla media. Il coperto a 2,5 euro per me è troppo caro visto che non si tratta di un posto deluxe anche se carino, e i tavolini sono risicatissimi. Il sabato sera risulta parecchio affollato e Il dehor è piccolino anche se confortevole ma gli spazi sono relativamente stretti, ci si muove a fatica e la privacy è praticamente zero. Inoltre seppur abbastanza riscaldato, arrivano spesso e volentieri degli spifferi di aria fredda. Delusione sul dolce 1000 sfoglie, dove ti portano due o tre bastoncini di pasta sfoglia con sopra tanta crema chantilly e pezzettini di fragola, quando ci si aspetta una sorta di torta invece, che dovrebbe essere decisamente più consistente e con più pasta sfoglia, con un prezzo di ben 6 euro. Non accettabile. Concludendo 3 stelle piene ma non di più viste le pecche...

Our group of two families really enjoyed this restaurant! It was recommended by the host at our B&B (Ca d’L), and we were very pleased with our food and with the service.

We tried several different pizzas and a couple of pastas & salads, with a bottle of wine—all were delicious. Dessert was also very good (don’t skip it)! If we had stayed a couple more days in the area, we would have eaten here again....
