Hotel Ristorante La Pergola — Restaurant in Magliano Sabina

La Pergola is on a big transit road next to the mototorway and although they may be attentive if you stay at their hotel they were anything but when we ate there last night and tried to take advantage of us (I assume as we look like tourists). We ordered the iberico ham, lobster pasta and carbonara followed by some expensively priced steaks. We were not asked how we wanted our steaks done and after an age 2 very small thin cheap grey steaks were brought out that were so over cooked they were tough as old boots. What happened next was like nothing I've ever experienced in all my years of visiting Italy. We were told they would be replaced and we told waitress we would like them medium rare (though again she did not ask). Out came 2 much better cuts of met that you could be happy to pay 25 euros for and they were slammed down in front of us blue. Not rare, blue. The chef obviously doesn't want any repeat business so we paid the bill and left. Other restaurants nearby are so much better than this place I have no ide why anyone would go...

Personale estremamente scortese, fin dall’inizio. Siamo arrivati di sabato pomeriggio, nessun welcome drink. Aria condizionata in camera non funzionante, nessuno si è interessato a cercare una soluzione, o tentare di ripararla o anche solo venire in camera a controllare nonostante fossimo una famiglia con tre camere e il problema fosse presente in tutte.

Non ci hanno nemmeno offerto uno sconto per questo problema.

Camere piene di polvere, ruggine sullo scaldabagno e sulla doccia, moscerini nella vasca. Quando mia sorella ha fatto presente il problema dei moscerini nella vasca non hanno battuto ciglio e hanno detto che è normale in questo periodo. Io direi che conoscendo la location, avrebbero dovuto provvedere ad una pulizia più approfondita e un semplice sgorgatore dei tubi avrebbe tenuto lontani i moscerini per il nostro pernottamento di due notti.

A colazione ci siamo sentiti quasi scacciati, quando alle 9:59 abbiamo chiesto i caffè per tutta la famiglia (bar chiude alle 10) e la cameriera con tono molto infastidito ha tenuto a sottolineare che la colazione finisse alle dieci e ha chiesto due volte per chi fossero i caffè (abbiamo chiesto nove caffè, per quattro camere). Non so se sia un problema di educazione o che non siano abituati ad avere ospiti.

Quando stavo uscendo dalla sala colazione con un pacchettino di biscotti (che avevo già aperto e mi sembrava un peccato lasciarlo sul tavolo per buttarlo) ho anche sentito la responsabile della reception urlare “eh mo questa è maleducazione però” chiaramente riferendosi a me. E anche se non fosse stato riferito a me, è inaccettabile parlare in questo modo davanti agli ospiti.

Servizio lavanderia: il primo giorno ho chiesto di stirare una camicia e un pantalone e mi hanno detto che la lavanderia apriva la mattina. Intanto mi ero fatta mandare un ferro da stiro e quello che ho ricevuto sembrava un ferro giocattolo che perdeva anche acqua. Il giorno seguente ho chiamato al mattino presto per far stirare la camicia e la risposta che ho ricevuto è stata a dir poco raggelante. La signorina mi ha detto che non era possibile che mi avessero detto che la lavanderia aprisse la mattina, perché apriva di fatto alle 17. Molta confusione e sono stata trattata come se stessi dicendo una sciocchezza mentre riportavo semplicemente le parole che mi erano state dette il giorno prima.
