We were visiting Sardinia earlier this month for a friend's wedding and were staying at a nearby hotel (Hotel Maison Tresnuraghes ) -- a few minutes walk to this restaurant.
The restaurant is small and kind of a "hole in the wall" with a few tables and chairs -- but we came here for the pizza first and foremost. Just walking near this restaurant it smelled really good! The staff is friendly and spoke some English (the free Google Translate smartphone app came in handy).
We ordered 2 pizzas (one for me, orne for my fiance) -- the pizza was at least half the price we pay in the United States!
We waited several minutes and then our pizza was ready. BUT.... I take out my credit card and the cashier said they don't accept credit cards -- they wanted Euros bills. So we were directed to an ATM that was a few minutes walk away, got some Euros, then went back to the restaurant.
We paid and walked back to our hotel with the pizzas, ready to devour them! We open the 2 pizza boxes and were surprised that the pizza was not cut into slices -- it was a whole big round pizza in its natural state -- and we didn't have knives with us at that time. So we tore the pizzas apart with our bare hands -- and it was DELICIOUS!
We are big pizza lovers, and this was seriously one of the best pizzas we ever had! The crust was on the thinner side, but had a nice chewiness in addition to a light crispiness. The cheese was just the right amount and very good flavor -- and the SAUCE -- that sauce was AMAZING! So very flavorful, yet well -balanced and savory.
We ate ALL of both pizzas -- we were hoping we would have time to go back to the restaurant the next night (our last night in Sardinia), but our friend's wedding lasted beyond the restaurant's 11pm closing time.
If you are visiting Sardinia, especially near Bosa (The restaurant is approximately 15 to 20 minutes car drive from Bosa), you MUST visit this restaurant!
Also, please make sure you have Euros bills to pay since they don't accept credit cards. And if you are taking out the pizza to go, make sure you ask them to slice your pizza before they send you off...

If you're looking for authentic pizzas in a relaxed setting then this is the place for you.
The staff is friendly and they speak English. Menus are also available in English.
The pizza base is light and crispy, the toppings and range of pizzas are bountiful.
This place only does pizza and has been a local favourite for many years.
I highly recommend getting a carafe of vino, sitting outside and relaxing with the locals and some tourists alike. It's a really nice vibe.
The dessert selection is great. I highly recommend the creme caramel and tiramisu. Yum!
Affordable, great value and quality ingredients for the pizza of your choice. What more...
Read morePotentially one of the best pizzas Iâve ever had, Iâve literally ate more pizzas than anyone this side of the equator and I will stand by that fact until I die, Gigi is a true master of his craft and the level of which he cares can be tastes within every slice.
The restaurant is unassuming and placed by a road side, not the typical location of which you would assume a pizziola of this caliber would be operating, the service was amazing and you are really made to feel welcome and at home whilst dining here.
I will absolutely be returning every time I am this side of the world, try for yourself and I know youâll feel the same...
